Hi I have been asked to create a risk assessment for when students go on the computers. It’s a primary school has anyone got one or create a risk assessment with level of risk like red, amber, green ? Something simple A4

kind of like this spreadsheet

How have you got on with the xml file thinking of using something like this but wanted to see how people have progressed?

Would using power iso work convert the dmg file to iso and then burn iso to dvd?

Yeah if you can help then. I’ve need to do it for all OS so finding the fault will be a big help.

Tried it on my other halfs computer still not working this is the code its coming up with on her machine which doesnt have two hdd as is set up from default. I have removed my opital drive and played an extra SSD. I have used my orginal harddrive just for the operating system and 2 ssd has all my user folders eg. desktop, docs etc. So how can i get the code to work so generates. i dont have a super drive in my macbook i have an external dvd player to burn how would that factor in this code? What part of this code will i need to change?

I want to know how to make a bootable DVD for Sierra. I know USB is better but still want to create a DVD aswell. I’ve tried just burning the file from App Store and I’ve also tried finding the Install EDG file and I’ve tried burning DMG file to which no success it’s not appearing in my drive which restart my machine and press alt. What am I doing wrong or why not appearing. I make a snow leopard with an old Mac and that worked but think it different how you do with the old OS. I would prefer not terminal but just need to make these back up dvd for Mavericks, El Capitan, Sierra and High Sierra.

Hi you must think this is a stupid question but i need help so i am asking. I had a bit of a nightmare with my mac and in the end i couldnt get the OS from the app store or anywhere else in the end i use a friends mac to download the os and make a bootable version and got my mac up and running again. What i want to do is stick a copy of my OS in my cloud as not always going be able to go to my friend to save the day. But i need to make the file a .dmg how do i do this so that i only need to put it on the USB and good to go. At the moment i have downloaded the file from app store and its sat in a folder so what do i do next? ive tried using disk utility and making a image from file but when i do that i get an error resource busy error 49168 I would really like it if someone can tell me please how to i know i must be stupid to be asking lol

Hi, we have some of these USBbut we want to completly wipe them and then use them with bitlocker which is standard across the school. Does anyone know how to wipe them completely clean so even the hidden Kingston Data traveler folders are removed and its completly blank? Thanks inadvance.

Hi, i have purchase a new ssd for my macbook ive taken out the media drive and put the ssd in a cage everyhting working and can be seen in finder. But what i want to do is now use this just for files and leave my current one ive been using as the operating system. But i asked for help and friend told me what to do but when i do the terminal bit nothing is happening and i want to hook up my documents, downloads etc to the new drive. This what i was told to do but not working the first steps Open the terminal window Enter cd Then drag the home folder E.g. cd and drag the home folder in Then enter sudo rm -rf and enter your admin password when prompted e.g. sudo rm -rf Downloads ln -s and drag the new location on the other hard drive to match up to Repeat for all the other folders Recreate the shortcuts in the finder menu Any help would be grateful ive even thought about if someone can help remotely do it lol if i cant figure it out. Im not the most technically able person but i do like to try myself.

Primary school shouldnt store but should pass info to secondary school if they don’t go or leave the country etc data must be given to LA to store. Statutory requirement is from birth to 25 to have a student record/data which should eventually be stored by secondary until 25 then destroyed that what we read in a nut shell

It’s Also about piecing bit of information together. So say a parent signs in for a safeguarding meeting about there kid. They say coming see that person on your website in school wall that person id as safeguarding lead. Then other professionals coming to that meeting sign in to see that safeguarding lead by name. If anyone came saw and put 2 and 2 together they would say that parent and child is having issues. They say it parent friends and before you know it’s around the playground. You can stay with paper version but you got to get one that the confidential they around. Cheaper than electronic if your trying to avoid the cost.
