  1. Yeah, I always use the server browser to join a match, I think most of the Official EA servers are gone now it's mainly just clan run servers. I've noticed battlelog has been very unstable lately too (on PS4 at least), possibly something to do with BF1/E3 maybe?
  2. 16-20 Hours a week, 90% of that being the weekend. I've recently got back into Battlefield 4, when Battlefield 1 comes out I may just hibernate through to April 2017.
  3. Some E3 gameplay: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=J88bmqKrbu0 It looks like they're taking the best of Civ IV and Civ V and putting them together, I like the way wonders are now built, more like it was in Civ IV

    Battlefield 5

Really? I've never had that personally, I play it for extended periods of time regularly always on Conquest Large

    Battlefield 5

Battlefield 4 was a mess when it was released, the worst Battlefield launch I can remember. To be fair to them though, the game in its current state is now one of the best online shooters available, they've made so many improvements and have steadily released good content/maps since launch, including free maps. Still playing it now, got to rank 105 last night I wish they'd scrap the battlelog rubbish though for the PC gamers, having to use an internet browser to find a server to play on is madness! Luckily on consoles that isn't an issue with the in-game server browser.

    Battlefield 5

Yeah, I've never completed single player on Battlefield, got a fair way through the Bad Company campaign though - It's all about the multiplayer! Saying that, they seem to have put a lot of work into this single player campaign and with a WWI story it might just be the first campaign on Battlefield I actually finish
  7. Yes I agree with that, I only used Islamic extremist as an example because the person in this instance was just that. The point still stands, 300 million guns regardless of who owns them won't just disappear overnight, a delicate situation for the USA to deal with. "I'd bet my AK" seems a little disrespectful given the subject of the thread though.
  8. Incidents like this make my blood boil, how cowardly can someone be to shoot & kill 50 innocent people?! Disgusting. The thing is America are between a rock & a hard place with gun control, if they passed a law tonight outright banning all firearms, how are they going to get rid of them? There are 300 million registered guns in the USA, and the deranged people like this Islamic extremist won't just give them up. I think it's hard for us in the UK to grasp the love affair Americans have with guns and I honestly think if they tried banning them there would be huge civil unrest, maybe even war, the last thing you want as a government is millions of angry, armed citizens taking to the streets over a breach of their "constitutional rights". It's an impossible dilemma they've got themselves in. (Not saying I'm for guns btw)
  9. I've been playing since Civ 3 and still constantly learning new things, it's a HUGE game with so many variables, it's easy to get overwhelmed. My advice would be to start a custom game, make the map small with 2 or 3 AI opponents and put it on easiest difficulty and go from there. Setting the game to just 1 type of victory is a good idea (Science, Cultural, Domination etc), that way you can focus all of your resources on one thing and learn how different game mechanics can impact your Civilization. I always focus on money personally and when I have a nice amount buy myself a huge army and take over the world, ICMBs FTW.

    Battlefield 5

Battlefield 1 Official Gameplay Trailer 45 minutes of Battlefield 1 multiplayer gameplay (PC gameplay) BETA is "later this summer" - exact date TBC
  11. idk that's just what I read on the Civ forums... Never played online on it, I like to have a single player game going, usually takes me weeks to complete 1 game
  12. Yeah, Civ V got a lot of bad press early on, but I really love it as well! My only gripe is that when the game gets into the modern era, if you're playing with a lot of AI on a big map the turns take forever to calculate. Apparently they're using DX12 on VI so this should improve things. Also my AMD Phenom II 1055T chip is quite old now but a better CPU means I also need a new motherboard @DJ-1701 - You must try it, especially if you're into stratergy games! The learning curve may be a little steep for a newcomer but it's so worth investing your time in!
  13. RELEASE DATE: OCTOBER 21, 2016 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qvBf6WBatk0 Looks awesome, are there any Civ addicts among us? Going to spend A LOT of time on this when it's released
  14. Hmmm will wait for the reviews on this one, I've been burned too many times by Ubisoft, I thought the first one was very badly optimized on consoles.
  15. Got the Official PS4 Wireless headset ~ £68
  16. Thanks for the link, will give it a try My main concern is the size of it as well, I don't know if the RM Management Console will handle a SW package that big - I have my doubts haha
  17. Has anyone installed Visual Studio Community 2015 on their network? Our ICT teacher has asked for it to be installed in classrooms, but the .exe for it is just a web installer and the size of the 'basic' install is 7gb, the full install is 35gb. We are an RM CC4 network, and I'm struggling to get this onto the network, just wondering if anyone here has managed it, if so any pointers would be greatly appreciated

    Seriously?

haha the trailer is epic! "You are a goat too..." "Noooooooooooooo!"
  19. haha sounds like a nightmare! It is a really odd issue...
  20. Yeah, I was wondering if it was possibly an optical drive issue Did you manage to fix it in the end?
  21. The BBC have obviously done this on purpose to generate public anger towards government, following the recent changes/cuts introduced. They know people love the recipes website, and that getting rid of it won't save any money. It's been done purely out of spite, much like a toddler throwing their toys out of the pram when they can't have things their own way. Pathetic really and it will only hurt their image more in the long-term. I'm sure someone will rip the entire recipe directory anyway, just download that and save it for offline use, or rip it yourself.

    DOOM [Doom 4]

Nearly finished the campaign, level 30 on multiplayer and had a fair go on SnapMap. The single player is suburb, I don't think they could've done much more to stay true to the original games, I had to force myself to stop playing because I didn't want to complete it all in 1 day, although I am very close to the end now. It's basically just you, your arsenal of ridiculous weapons and shooting demons point-blank in the face, with a heavy-metal backing track. The story is OK, but feels secondary to being a general bad-ass, which is how it should be Multiplayer is surprisingly fun, much better than the BETA and it has some interesting game modes (Freeze Tag). However, I fear it will get boring fast and seems to have a lack of depth that other modern online shooters have. It feels like it's trying to be DOOM & Quake but doesn't really pull either of them off. SnapMap is very cool, a lot of options there and I can see some players making amazing maps with the tools available - I think SnapMap is the key to keeping this game alive, as there are endless possibilities. There are much more options than I thought there would be, reminds me of the old Timesplitters map creator - which is a good thing. Overall worthy of a purchase, I'd give it an 8/10. Whether it's worth keeping and not trading in after completing single player though, I'm not so sure!
  23. Mirror's Edge & No Mans Sky look interesting, not sure which one to go for!

    DOOM [Doom 4]

Been keeping a close eye on the early reviews and I'm sold on the single player! Tonight could be an all-nighter for me
  25. So it hasn't crashed (yet) since you disabled bios power management/sensors? Mine never used to crash using benchmark software either, ran it for ~24hrs once with no issues whatsoever. Thought it was fixed and within 15 minutes of playing a game it started happening again. The games you're playing, are they downloads/steam or do you have physical discs?
