  4. P2P with Ruckus is a very simple and cost effective way of linking your 2 sites together and is as simple and point and aim, this is based on your distance, however if there is not clear line of site then you may need to look at a different option of NLOS products, these then normaly will come in a licensed band and require an ofcomm license which is purchased yearly. In short Ruckus will deliver connectivity on the 5GHz spectrum and for a minimal investment and no on going license is required, if you are interested in the pricing please PM me or email [email protected], this is also free to trial if required. Kind Regards Mark
  5. Still 2 spaces left if anyone else is interested, for those who registered yesterday thank you and email confirmations will be over soon. Kind Regards Mark

    Bluesocket

Thanks for the intro John, have to say we no longer sell Bluesocket due to the issues we found over support with them only working in the US hours when ever help was needed, also very slow RMA process if a unit was to become faulty which did not asisst the UK at all, we also found the growing costs of the equipment not competative for the Education market and based on that have now converted our existing customers over to Ruckus which has not only saved them money but reduced ap's in most cases. I support that Bluesocket has some great features and is more than just a wifi system and the VM options is also a cleaver move and something I think we will see more doing, but only works in some clients sites and still needs to price sensitive in todays market place., however features are only good if needed and most people are after Wifi that is why they ask which wifi solution and not one that is also a firewall etc. I also know that Rick would move to Ruckus if I made it FREE (afraid he has a long wait I am sorry to say....sorry Rick you need to find some pennys.) I am more than happy to offer a competative trial of the Ruckus equipment to you Liam, we can compliment the conversation by going through comparisons of the Ruckus / Bluesocket kit and aid in your decision and trial if that would be helpful. Just drop me an email [email protected] or call 01473 281211 and I will help all you need when you are ready. Kind Regards Mark
  8. I can confirm that this is a feature request that has been passed to Ruckus to cap the number of devices and is in disucussions but with no definative answer as of yet.
  9. You are very welcome it was great to work with you guys at last, I am sure those 8 - 9 months felt more like 3 years :-) We look forward to do more with you in the future especially if Shaft can be involved.......you wait till you meet Mrs Shaft !!!!
  10. Thanks for the intro, we very much re-sell Ruckus, this is the only Wireless solution we specialise in as we feel that provides the client with the confidence knowing that we are focusing on supporing one solution only, if we lose out to competiton then that is just part of the sales game and down to the clients choice. If Ruckus is of interest then please give me a call or PM and I will be happy to help you I think you will be surprised especially with the competative offers runnings at the moment. Hope to hear from you Kind Regards Mark Power Enterprise Security Solutions | Network Security Consultants 01473 281211 07525 785 278
  11. Welcome aboard hope you enjoy the site.
  12. I apprecite this is a requirment for feedback into pottentialy swapping a solution for another which I cant comment on, however I would be more than happy to discuss how Ruckus will fit into your organisation if you did go down this route if you felt that would help. Also I am not sure if you know that Trapeze is now owned by Juniper Networks? Just give me a call if it would help, we have 300 education sites all using Ruckus so have plenty of experience to guide you about the technology. Thanks Mark 01473 281211 07525 785 278 [email protected]
  13. Hi Steven Sorry been out and about this morning I can help you with this and advise the ap models etc that would be needed, this will take a little investigation into the site and what you require the coverage to be like so if you get the chance to give me a call or drop me an email then that would be helpful. 07525 785 278 01473 281211 [email protected] Cheers Mark
  14. Wow another show over, thanks to everyone that helped in supporting Net-Ctrl again this year you have all been great, it was great to meet with prospective new customers, with the people we have only spoken to, also to meet with the same croud that normally abuse us (you know who you are :-) :-) ) Edugeek is growing from strenght to strenght and I have to compliment you all for your hard work and determination so well done all......roll on Bett 2012 :-) You never know you may have to put up with Aggy again !!!! Poor you :-) :-) Cheers Mark
  15. Who would do such a thing !!!!!!
  16. Not a problem and your welcome Happy New Year to you.
  17. Ok so the options available from Ruckus are really only the 7300 range of access points, they have not got an interest in producing home market ap's for many reasons which relate mainly to detracting from what they do well which is looking after the business market. Price support would only really be down to us as resellers unless the numbers are large enough. Sorry not the answer I had hoped but at least honest and a quick reply. email me directly [email protected] if you need a price for a 7300 ap and I will see what I can do, although I think this will be a little to pricey still for the home.
  18. No problem leave it with me and I will get answers for next week for you, I will work on the price point with Ruckus as I apprecite this is for the home. If others are keen then please let me know either via this thread or alternativly [email protected], this will help with the price conversation with Ruckus.
  19. There are many models of AP's on offer from Ruckus which can be used I will look at the best options and see what they suggest, there is no point in offering a duel band dome ap as most people would bolt at the price for the home, however the clip devices or 7300 model may be a good suggestion. Let me have a chat with them next week when they are all back in the land of living after the festive season and see if we can get a buying agreement for the home market. How many other people would be interested?
  20. Plenty of options for Ruckus in the home if anyone is seriously interested :-) :-) :-)
  21. Lets look at this a little closer shall we, Ruckus have announced that the offer is due to expire at the end of the year as per the confirmation which was extended at the last quarter until the end of December. Secondly I sat yesterday with the Uk sales Director and also had conversations about the offer and that I wanted to know if this would be extended and the comments were as follows. The offer is due to expire at the end of the year and that is the status so far, the proposed idea from the Ruckus UK and EMEA team is that they would like to see this continued and that they feel the offer would be beneficial to all education sites going forward, they also wonder what impact it would have should the offer be removed. The status to date is that the offer extension has not been approved or denied from the VP of world wide sales and that this will not be anounced until nearer the end of the year, as normal with all these offers the vendors like to keep the proposed plans for the next quarters close to their chest. If and when the offer has been submited in writting then as always we will as I am sure CPLD also will announce this on the Edugeek forum to keep the users informed. Simon yes this may sound like a contradiction of each others facts, however we have no written proof or formal agreement from Ruckus, neither do CPLD (confirmed with the UK sales Director 20 minutes ago) neither do distribution so until that does arrive the offer is still due to expire (sorry wish I could confirm otherwise) Regards Mark
  22. Morning Vik, soon be that time again mate for Bett :-)
  23. Anyone that is considering Ruckus Wireless and is going to ask the questions of how Ruckus mitigates RF and Co-Channel interference then this clip is your answer. YouTube - GT Hill on Interference I think Dos_Box will agree if anyone can explain it then it will be the guy presenting from Ruckus Wireless Mr GT Hill........he has any rooms attention :-) Enjoy Regards Mark Enterprise Security Solutions | Network Security Consultants
