  1. If you guys drop me a PM with your school details I can have a look at the tickets. As Dave has said we have no issues with performance at the moment. Rob
  2. Good Morning Caffrey Is this happening consistently? Our monitoring isn't flagging anything and I haven't heard of any other reports. FYI, you can't browse to the URL directly, that is by design. Thanks,
  3. No worries, we spotted your question here and didnt want to leave you hanging. Can you also drop me the case number in the PM so I can take a look and make sure it is with the correct engineers. Thanks,
  4. Morning, That looks more or less correct, you don't overly need the -F What issues are you actually seeing? Have you prepended the relevant groups in AD with sbb as per the -s As you are using -f the wagent will log to ~/.Netsweeper Workstation Agent/wagent.log and is normally pretty good at telling you what is wrong (generally scroll right to the bottom) Thanks,
  5. Good Afternoon All, Firstly, apologies about the outage some of you have suffered today. You should all be back online now but if not please reach out to us (or PM me) so we can investigate. Thanks,
  6. No worries, glad it was a quick fix. For reference in case it is useful to anyone else the firewall ports are 19302 – 19309 TCP/UDP
  7. Just spotted the case in our CRM and asked an engineer to pick it up, expect a call shortly. Any problems just drop me a PM. Thanks,
  8. Good Evening Mr Wu, We run two different keyword lists, a master list that is applied by default to all users and a primary school list - both of which have been built over the years based on feedback from schools. A school can of course choose to adjust the filtering based on their specific requirements so there is no problem disabling the keyword filtering. As long as you have a dedicated filtering group for your 6th formers we can just disable it for those users, or as caffrey stated you can allow words that are causing false positives within the local lists within your policies. If you are struggling just drop me a PM. Hope that clears things up, Thanks,
  9. Good Afternoon All, Hopefully you all read the roadmap that was released a couple of weeks back, resolving the outstanding issue with the log feed is now priority one after a January without the issues from last year. We initially planned to get this resolved in September when it initially raised its head but the webadmin problems ended up taking precedence. Please rest assured that logs are not being lost, it is just the live feed that is delayed and can timeout. My engineers are currently working on the problem with Netsweeper and we will have both a fix and increase in report performance soon. Thanks,
  10. Hi All, Is anyone on this thread still having streaming issues to any of the mentioned sites? Thanks,
  11. Can you drop me a PM with the case number so I can take a look, Thanks,
  12. As per the above from @andy_b any customers with this issue will now be resolved, we have passed information on this setting change to Netsweeper who are looking at making it a default setting in future releases. Thanks,
  13. Hi Andy, Can you drop me a PM with your school details and I will take a look this afternoon, Thanks,
  14. For the time being we enable the captive portal at the request of customers, this feature will become self serve at a later date. The certificate is going to be embedded in our new block (and captive portal) pages when we release them over the summer. Hopefully this will help. Thanks,
  15. Hi Tracey, Can you drop me a PM with some contact details and school name so I can take a look at the setup? It sounds like the trigger to present the captive portal has been misconfigured. Just an FYI, with the new wagent we can inject user/group without the device being on the domain, not sure if this would be easier for you. Obviously this assumes that it is only the one user using the laptop. Thanks,
  16. Good Afternoon, It sounds like the decryption list for LS MDM has not been applied to your policies, can you drop me a PM with your school details and I will get it sorted for you, Thanks, Rob
  17. Just to confirm, our release of Netsweeper can support Azure AD. If you need a hand setting it up just give us a call. Thanks,
  18. Good Morning, Yes, we have had promising results with the msi installer and are moving our processes over to using it as the default deployment method. If you have been provided batch scripts you must have just missed the switch but please get in touch with your point of contact and ask for the MSI installer. Any issues, drop me a PM and I will build you one. Anyone else having issues with the old WAGENT, please get in touch with our support department who are now trained on building an msi and can move you over to that authentication method. If anyone wants more details just ask, Thanks, Rob
  19. Good Morning, Most of our customers just use a GPO to deploy the proxy settings, other options include WPAD or PAC file. Do you want me to send over one of our guides via PM? Thanks, Rob
  20. A couple of schools have done this and I believe it resolved their issues, FYI for all, we are currently testing a new version of the Netsweeper WAGENT that will have a number of new features including but not limited to; a) run as a service b) send authentication updates to the webadmin servers on a schedule (timers can be fine tuned) c) be available as an MSI allowing deploying via GPO without the need for logon/logoff scripts Once the WAGENT has passed all required tests we will make it available to exisiting customers, Thanks, Rob
  21. Good Evening, There should be no issue with staff logging into multiple devices but this is something we can control/enforce, our standard setting is a maximum of 5 devices unless otherwise advised by the school. If you drop me a PM with your school details I can check the agent settings for your site. The only time the agent will not report authentication is if an IP address changes while the user is already logged in, we normally see this with laptops that have both wired and wireless connections running at the same time. Thanks, Rob
  22. No worries, if you need any help just shout. Thanks, Rob
  23. Morning, We can ammend the timeout if you have staff that do not like to log out, a couple of schools have asked for the session to be infinite and we do a weekly purge of authenticted users over the weekend. We do advise the best course of action is to get your staff to log out but understand this can sometimes be tricky. Thanks, Rob
  24. Yes we can apply filtering policies by IP, IP Range or Subnet if you do not require users to authenticate. Thanks, Rob
  25. Hi Tracey, Can you PM me your case number and I will get it sorted for you, just sounds like the YouTube CDN is blocked, Thanks, Rob
