  1. Hi DCUK6, LanSchool can certainly do everything you have outlined here - server-side logging has been a core part of our solution for about six months now, and everything else you have mentioned is fairly standard. Have dropped you a PM with further details to arrange a demo + competitive quote Regards, ~ Adam
  2. Sorry to hear about that, Redhawk - our support team is on hand to troubleshoot. Dropped you a PM.
  3. Hi fiza, Just to throw our lot in with the rest; LanSchool supports Chrome at both the ChromeOS client level and the Chrome browser (all platforms) too; https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/lanschool-student/ifeifkfohlobcbhmlfkenopaimbmnahb?hl=en https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/lanschool-web-helper/honjcnefekfnompampcpmcdadibmjhlk?hl=en (sadly downvoted to oblivion by jaded students!) A list of features and current limitations are available on our Knowledge Base: https://helpdesk.stone-ware.com/portal/kb/search/chromebook https://helpdesk.stone-ware.com/portal/kb/articles/lanschool-ios-android-and-chromebook-feature-set-and-limitations Keyword/keystroke monitoring cannot currently be done at the device-level due to the lack of a local ring buffer on the Chromebook client; however we can pick up activity from the browser (controlled via the extension) which allows for website monitoring, tracking and blocking. 99% of Chromebook activity is done via the Chrome browser (including most apps) so we have a large amount of control available there. PM me if you would like to see some specific use cases, thanks! ~ Adam
  4. Hi Steve, sorry to hear about this issue - the thumbnails being stuck on 'updating' typically occurs when the Teacher / Tech Console is sending out a request packet (which puts it into the 'Updating...' status) but fails to receive a response back from the target student(s). LanSchool uses a common set of ports to transmit data between clients, occasionally we find issues with firewalls / AV that blocks the traffic. Troubleshooting is available for this once we learn a bit more about your specific network environment; dropped you a PM with our support contact details.
  5. Thanks, Thimon! LanSchool Lite is very basic - if you would be interested in a competitive quote for the full version of LanSchool (with all the bells and whistles, probably closer to what you're looking for), I have dropped you a PM with our contact details.
  6. If you're looking for something basic and FREE, I would recommend taking a look at LanSchool Lite, which will give you thumbnail monitoring, as well as website/application/battery usage data. Useful for very light 'at a glance' management of the classroom you're in; https://www.lenovosoftware.com/lanschool/lite
  7. Hi Gongalong,Further to fiza's post above, a lot of what you're looking to accomplish can be done using a combination of Group Policy and the LanSchool Tech Console, including bulk user/machine actions such as Remote Control, Wake-on-LAN, Shut Down, Remote Log Off and Mass Logon - all accomplishable at the machine, room or group (i.e. building) level. We also have fully automated background inventorying that reports on hardware/software utilisation for measuring student usage in different locations, and feeds this data back into centralised reports. We offer a migration path discount pricing for those coming off of RM Ranger, so PM me if you would be interested in setting up a demo & pricing options.Cheers!~ Adam
