We are currently looking at buying SMART MX265 boards with the "built in iQ" computer. After testing one for 3 days, we noticed that the board does not sleep at all when set to the input of the iQ. Surely this is a design flaw?

Hey all, how do you handle physically destroying hard drives theses days? Although some drives go off to the recycle company who demonstrate their policies and GDPR compliance for data removal, I am still not at ease with sending drives off from servers.

Are you using "Folder protection" in OneDrive? I.e automatically redirect documents, desktop etc to OneDrive or do you just treat the one drive folder as their new "networkfolder"?

How does the OneDrive client behave? For instance if you have pupils/staff roaming around the site logging into different computers, does it download all the OneDrive files to the computer when they login? Or does it only sync files as they are opened?

Data Processor vs Data Controller
rfakes replied to rfakes's topic in Data Protection & Information Handling
Thanks both. So in this instance, because all they are doing is storing the data, and have no due right or responsibility to process it in anyway, they are a processor? and we as the controller have to be satisfied with their policies of controlling physical / remote access to that server (including their staff)? -
At what point does someone stop being a data processor and becomes a data controller? I.e if a company provides a cloud backup service, and you as a data controller make use of it and put your data on their server, are they a processor or a controller?

So touching on the fact that in a new academic year, if a team no longer exists (in the CSV files), the old Team will still remain - how do you go about doing housekeeping and removing those old teams?

Without trying to sound dumb, what does MAT stand for?

We would like to find a solution for completing class registration when there is no or little Internet connectivity (on a tablet). For example for when out on the school fields. Does anyone know if there is a MIS, or another product that could do such a thing?

I have mixed experiences with wcbs portal. Some odd bugs that they haven't fixed. i.e in the parent directory, parents can only see the 1st line of a parents address. There as also an issue where only 1 parent could view the itemised school bill, although I think they have fixed this now.

Are there any users of iBoss out there? Just wondering how people have found it as a solution? Also what are your views of a "proxy" solution vs a "in line" solution?

On the printer server, you do have "Share this printer on the network" ticked in System Prefs? Sorry to ask such a simple question but I have seen a similar thing before.

What's the minimum OS requirements for stop motion? There are ways to upgrade the OS from 10.6 still... What's the spec of the MacBooks?

I tested on our Chrome and I can't replicate it unfortunately. I know you can set Google Chrome master preferences at /Library/Google/Google Chrome Master Preferences. Do you have one of those? The only other thing I can think of is how is the print queue added to the Mac? Is Chrome, at times, detecting the printer and printing over a different protocol?

Have you tried deleting the contents of ~/Library/Application Support/Google ~ being users home How are you managing Google Chrome on your network?
