Hi all, My school ( primary) are looking at alternative MIS systems and SIMs is one of them - they are particularly interested in MIS systems with a proper working Parent App. I said that I would ask for constructive feed back from the forum re the pros and cons of SIM as I have (mostly) heard the cons on here. Any contributions greatly appreciated - thanks in advance.

How would you give read only access to the original? I've created a test 2nd account to see if they could have read only to the original but not getting far with it?

Hi, Does anybody know how to give read only access to a user to their own email account in O365. Reason for doing so is confidential so not up for discussion - but would be grateful if someone knows how. It has been done before so I know it is possible - just can't seem to find any settings etc that point to it. Many thanks in advance

Hi , Thanks for prompt reply - I'm not getting a BSOD - just literally as pale blue screen - like graphics aren't loading?.... Server is working fine otherwise...at least I think it is...

Hi, Just tried to RDP onto server as Administrator , allowing me to put in username and password, connects up , but then I only get a blue screen and not able to do anything. Same thing happens when physically at the server. Any ideas? Other logins work fine - for the moment.. Thanks in advance

Hi, Imported the fileserver from HV1 to HV2. All seemed to be ok , except today when creating a new user , realised that all the original folder sharing permissions have gone. 1) is this normal? 2) how do I fix it as when I try to manually share the folder it is saying that the folder cannot be shared... Thanks

Hi , Still trying to figure out inherited network... So, one of the switches is linked to another cab via a fibre link. My question is ... can a fibre link port be a trunk port? The fibre is currently down, and is being replaced soon. Meantime no voice vlan traffic is going through ..so is the fibre link acting as trunk? Sorry if this is a silly question.... TIA
