Hi, yes. I eventually opted for a purchase of Intune licences from our Cloud Service Provided as a CSP licence which can be added quickly and isn't tied to the EES/OVS subscription. It was necessary to enable Apps to be managed and also to apply settings using PowerShell which would not take effect when the user was not licenced.

I am currently running the time limited, evaluation of InTune and am considering my licensing alternatives after it ends. I have approximately 30 devices which are all Windows 10 Education based devices. My question is about which is the optimal license model for me to maximise functionality against spend. I am specifically looking at managing devices at this stage and NOT application management. It appears that there are a couple of options: Buy Intune device licences for the number of devices in the project and purchase more as needed Or Buy Microsoft Intune for Education for Faculty licence If I take the second, how many devices could be enrolled against each licence? I’ve heard mixed feedback varying from between 5 and 40. I suppose the premise being that a faculty license provides the ability and rights to manage an arbitrary quantity of student devices and if this is the case then it would make more sense to take this route as it offers better value as long as device licenses were not needed by virtue of them being managed by using a Faculty license. On the whole, it’s not clear which is the better route to take so I appreciate any advice you can provide. Thanks.

Hello all, We have enabled encryption of emails within O365 which is working fine however some users are getting confused when they recieve emails with a '.rpmsg' attachment. These don't appear to open nativly using Outlook for Windows however the message can be read by pressing the Blue 'Read the Message' link. Should '.rpmsg' files open by double clicking in Outlook for Windows? Thanks, M

I'm looking for a future proof solution to provide my users with user friendly forms within SharePoint Online on O365. In the past I would have used InfoPath but I'm dubious about the future of this platform seeing as MS themselves have stopped development on it. Ideally the forms would look as close as possible to their paper based equivalent. Adobe Form integration into O365 would be good if possible. Thank you..

I'm in a new post. One of my responsibilities is to identify any policies which fall under the area of responsibility of the 'ICT Systems Manager'. I have the obvious one's Disaster Recovery, Acceptable Use Policy, Communications policy and Printing policy etc. but I'd be interested to know if there is a definitive list of policies which every Trust organization should have. This would be a useful resource for many as it would help ensure that all have a comprehensive list of policies etc. Any contributions gratefully received. Thanks..

I'm currently protecting my Exchange Server infrastructure using Barracuda however I will shortly be migrating email to O365. Can I ask if EoL has protected users from the Ransomware virus which is rife at the moment? Did messages containing the virus manage to get through the Exchange Online Protection (EoP)

Hi, I saw this thread and thought that I would add a few comments on my experience of installing and running the application in a Hyper-V Remote Desktop Session Hosts scenario. Upon initial install we could only see the display of the console connection '0' however an immediate update resolved this so that all sessions could be seen. The deployment of the console and client was pain free and quick using the management console. Post installation the systems have continued to function as expected with little requirements to contact support.

I'm trying to migrate an O365 Domain to a new Tenant. It's going okay but before I can remove the domain from the old tenant I need to completely remove any references to the 'migrating' domain suffix. I've removed them all from most accounts using PowerShell and I was happy that things were going well. However I've hit a snag that's got me stumped for a couple of days. There are Proxy Email Addresses on some of my users. I can see which ones these are but I can't see any commands to remove them using PowerShell. They're identified sing this: Get-MsolUser -UserPrincipalName "username of user here" | select -ExpandProperty ProxyAddresses This list reveals the email account that I need to remove however there is no Set-MSOLUser command to remove Proxy Email addresses. I've looked in Exchange Online EAC to see if the account has an Exchange Mailbox which they do not. They do appear as a contact but the email address I want to remove is not visible in the properties. When checking within the O365 | Admin Center | Users | Active users the user's properties again do not show the email address that I want to remove. Is there a PowerShell Command that will remove entries from the ProxyAddresses collection which is returned by the Get-MSOLUser command? Regards, Martin

My O365 domain was using ADFS authentication but this has been removed currently for maintenance. Since doing this Skype for business refuses to log user on. Is there an setting the I need to change in Skype for business to tell it to stop using ADFS authentication?

Can a Azure AD Connect server communicate with more than a single O365 tenancy and populate it with users? We have a new O365 tenant for the trust which is configured for the domain name for the trust Our existing AD Connect server has connections to the Local AD and the Azure AD for the current O365 tenant. Before migrating emails from on premise to the new tenant I need to create accounts and licence them for Office 365 Education for faculty or Office 365 Education for students. I am trying to work out if I can use the existing Azure AD Connect server configured with the additional connectors or if it's best to create a second one specifically for the new O365 presence. If I create a new Azure AD Connect server can I connect more than one Azure AD Connect instance to our Local AD? Any advice appreciated.

Hi all, I need to find a solution for long term data recovery. I use Veeam B&R Ver 9 for Disaster Recovery and short term file level recovery whilst within the individual job retention periods but beyond that I'm stuck. I'm interested to see what other use for this purpose. Ideally I want to to take daily backups of the generic shared areas, staff / student home folders and some other specific areas. I want to keep 12 months of these backups. We're a large school and the global area is 1.5TB in size. I have considered doing a Forever Incremental backup on Veeam with 365 restore points but consider this to be a little risky but the overhead of creating synthetic full backups of full backups along the way is too heavy on resources. Any sugestions welcome. Thanks.
