Windows 10 Enterprise on Microsoft Surface Pro 4 - Scaling or Display Issue
kwetiaw replied to kwetiaw's topic in Windows 10
Hi blue_cookeh, the scaling is set to 200% and windows is up to date (1607) and as well as Microsoft office 2016. The computer is connected to the ms surface dock. cheers -
Hi all Just wondering if you have encounter persistent issue with text either too small and either too big which sounds like a display scaling problem. Often the user has really tini tiny text, or excel/word spreadsheet opening half (see screenshot) Is there a fix for this? Is this a common problem? Thanks in advance for your help!

Hi all MCSA exams have further discounts if you are a student, my question is here since most of us have edu email address and my edu email has been verified and can receive student discount. However, I am not a student and working full time. Is this legally ok? illegal? or somewhere in between? Cost per exam with student discount is USD 91 Looking forward to your input.

Hi Michael Appreciate the reply but I cant seem to see the import function. It's a standalone machine and I am using Local Group Policy Editor to edit GPO. Regards
-
Ok great, that make sense. I should read the instruction more carefully next time around. I can see the Classic Shell now in GPO editor. I'm trying to import your template in, however im stuck again . Where do I copy these files to? C:\Windows\System32\GroupPolicy ?
-
Hi Michael, I tried this but it does not appear on my GPO editor. I tried copying the folder Classic Shell entirely as well as copying only the content. Am I missing something?
-
But thats how to import the GPO to the server. Not local gpo. Is it not?
-
@TomMagee that's how i done the current image of these 20+ computers with the help of Fog Clone Project. How do you tell classicshell to use GPO? I tried searching their forum, do they have .admx template? Or how do I import the OP's GPO? Thanks!

I implemented OCS and GPLI on the same VM. we have around 200+ assets It works well for us as OCS NG helps auto discovery of the hardware information. OCSNG provides asset tracking (limited) but if you want full scale asset tracking then add GLPI in the mix. GLPI allows you to add and attach document such as purchase order, invoice etc to the hardware. We dont use the ticketing functionality so cant comment on that GLPI and OCSNG are great combo if you have small-medium size organisation and it is free (you have to provide the hosting). It seems to perform great on our VM running 4GB RAM, 1 CPU and 40GB HDD. This obviously will vary depending of the number of assets you have. take all the above as the pros. The Cons: I wish the fields in GLPI can be easily modified so it assets can be classified as true as possible. For example, it doesnt have mobile devices to manage ipad/android tablets. So I have been classifying, ipad as computer. hope that helps and if you have any questions, im happy to answer

What IT revolutionary changes have you made to your university ?
kwetiaw replied to yassine1641's topic in General Chat
I recently implemented Fog Project (Network Cloning) and they seems to be blown away. eventhough PXE has been around for many many years ago ha! so, kind of revolutionary for the company -
Hi all Is there a way to implement this only using local group policy? I have 20+ WORKGROUP (Non domain) computers If can, how do i import the attached GPO to the local GPO i have set up on those 20 machines. Thanks!
