  1. Hi Sometime over the last couple of weeks, something has changed either in Airprint on ipads or the way the Meraki MDM global http proxy setting is applied. With the proxy setting "sslfilter.proxy.swgfl.org.uk port 8080" pushed out by Meraki as the global http proxy, the ipad cannot connect to the airprint printers. They appear in the list of found printers, but when one is selected it goes straight back to the print screen with "No printer selected" as the printer. If I remove the global proxy setting pushed out from Meraki, and apply the same proxy settings manually, it works absolutely fine (as it has always done in the past). Has anyone else seen this issue, or have any idea how to pursue a fix? I am trying to get some Meraki support but because we use the free version of Systems Manager it doesn't look I can get any official support, and I am awaiting approval for a login to the community forum so I can post in there too. One of my schools only has 18 ipads, so I have just added the proxy setting manually to those, but my other school has 120 ipads, so I'm not relishing the thought of doing all of those manually! Many thanks, Emma
  2. Hello I've looked and looked for instructions on this, but I can't find anywhere how I get specific URLs on to the Favourites Bar in Edge via Group Policy. Any assistance gratefully received. Many thanks Emma
  3. Hello I have been asked to install Moviesoup and Pivot Stick Animator on all 80 of the pupil PCs and laptops at one of the primary schools I support. I would obviously prefer to do this via a GPO or install script :-) I have sent multiple requests to the developers of these programs asking for a clean (in the case of Pivot animator) msi or details of silent install switches, but have had nothing back. Can anyone here help? Many thanks Emma
  4. Thanks all for the replies. The school does have a Mac server but it will be phased out over the next 6 months or so as I am in the process of installing a Windows server to replace it. I will give the other suggestions a go. Thank you again Emma
  5. Can anyone suggest the best way to either lock down the user settings on an iMac running 10.6 so it can only browse to certain sites (and ideally can be locked to only running the browser) or a Kids browser (like Kidzui - but that doesn't work any more) that requires a password to exit? This is for a primary school that I do IT support for, they have 2 oldish imacs that they want to use in their pre-school and Reception class, but only want the children to be able to browse to certain sites, and not be able to run other applications. Many thanks Emma
  6. I am in the process of setting up Meraki as the MDM for the iPads at one of the primary schools I look after. It's been mostly successful, except for one iPad that has been provided as a replacement to a faulty one in the past, which I now can't get to register in DEP, so can't bring in to Meraki for the settings to be pushed out. I have been told by the iPad reseller that: "You can only bring in (to DEP) the serial number of the original ipad, the replacement will be linked to the original serial number through Apple’s GSX system. Import by serial number, using the original serial number with the original purchase date, and GSX will then link it to the replacement." So I can add the serial number of the original iPad at the DEP website, then when I sync with DEP in Meraki I see that serial number there, but of course the replacement iPad does not pick up any settings from that because it is a completely different serial number. When I try to add the replacement device serial number on the DEP website, I just get an error: “ NOT_ACCESSIBLE” Apparently this should all just work: "This method works in Apple’s Profile Manager, and in our third party MDM Airwatch" (according to the reseller). When this issue was raised with Apple they said it was a problem with Meraki and not a problem at their end.. I have tried posting the same question in Meraki's forum but no-one has responded. Thank you for any assistance!
