Deployed lesson monitor last september however quickly encouraged all teachers to use Lesson register within Sims. All staff picked it up quickly (quicker than i thought) and now use it for every lesson and we no longer have an afternoon reg as Period 5 doubles up as PM reg. Lesson monitor is still used by admin but the local access dtaabse things is an issue and if a problem occurs deleting this 99% of the time fixes the problem. For the record i wanted to go with PARS but am happy now with this solution.

I have this with the V+ box - like sky plus but better as records 2 things at once and lets you watch another. It also has catch up TV which has last weeks TV highlights on demand. And has TV on demand which has loads of full series show availabe to watch any time. I had SKY but changed and am well chuffed.

I am with webman on this - i attempted to package it up as an .msi but it was a knightmare.

I need some SQL training as i need to use it pretty soon. Funding is available to me but i do not fancy the Microsoft MOC courses as they are poor value i could just buy the book but prefer tutor led training. any ideas?

Hello i was after some feedback on how many of you actually buy schools agreement. Since joining my current school i have insisted on schools agreement from the start as no one really knew anything about the Licensing. After two year now the cost of this has gone from £9000 to £170000 due to more servers , more computers and laptops. I now have the smt asking why now £17000 will be spent each year when before i started no money was spent :? . Also does anyone know if SQL connections are covered by the scholls agreement CALSs? Any info would be great. JameZ

That's very interesting - so no need to buy the extortionate SIMS Mobile S/W = £200 for each PDA + maintenance + setup (if you don't do it yourself). I'd like to know more details on that. I would also be very intrested in more details on this.

Hello, had great response from Staff with the implementation of Synchroneyes and have the go ahead to buy however it does not block the student from using the internet by the Excel - Data - New Web query. No software i have tested does anyone know a way i can stop this? thanks

a few things: Do you find that students can still access the internet when the block is on through explorer? The polices seem to not always apply. I like the product and it is much cheaper but want to make sure it does what i need.

i got a full site licence quote for Synchroneyes @ £1800 the problem is i cannot buy it with e-Learning credits.

Anyone use this software and is it any good mainly want it to block the internet and applications any feedback would be great

Does any have any software or other method that they use to stop the internet being used for one specific room at a specific time. The teachers are asking for this so i would be very intrested what others are doing.
