Hello all, I love the site and it helps me a lot as a E - learning manager for a secoundary school with 1200 students, however i want to contribute more to the forums and the site as it has helped me alot but just dont find the time i was wondering how you all managed it? JameZ

Its almost tidy up time for us but not all the planned work will be complete as we are still waiting for external contractots to finnish in areas we need to be in. I dont panic anymore its always like this every year, i just forget.

Had the sales pitch today - the ICT co ord wants it mainly for the science stuff. It looked ok as a activitities not a full blown VLE, and as we are just moving to online content could be a great introduction. any comments would be great.

I have created a .msi with wininstallle , it installs ok but when a user runs the app it complains about missing files. please help me avoid a visit to 60 machine for tomorrow morning. jumpinjamez

I use one as a backup solution and it works great - just use standard NT security on shares.

Also make sure you have the latest vesions of the software so the users does not have to be a power users to use it.

Hello, i am getting a bit of pressure from managment to move some whiteboard installations . This involes moving the pole and everything. I have never even considered this as part of job as a network manager but my Predecessor did. Any information on the best way to handle this?

Just finnishing of fsession 2 this week had 130 studets at once doing it and it worked well. All problems were solved with a reboot. The ICT teachers here do not like the interface at all and complain that it should be just like what they teach . One question what is advised When the students save files do they overwrite or create a new?

Our school now have lesson monitor as as a result sims needs to be installed on the teachers desktop machines. Does anyone know a way to deploy sims? I have tried some scripts but cant seem to get it to work. any help would be great. JameZ
