Just wanted to know if anyone else's Airprint (from iPads) has stopped working recently. Had a lot of stuff like this after Essex's recent batch of changes over half term. its on a ricoh printer and the only proxy settings appear to be under the firmware update section, which makes me think they aren't global and will only apply for checking for new firmwares. can anyone else relate?

Physically in the school? I was testing it in the library. What's the relevance? From a networking perspective it will be behind the Essex's firewall. Just looking for someone else who has done this and what they had request Essex to allow.

Has anyone else successfully done this? I use plex at home and love it, we are looking to set it up in a school but it just falls over hard. for example opening up the web dashboard on the server itself and it says it cannot see any servers. I can only assume this is because the discovery service is blocked through Essex or something? Can someone confirm/deny that this is the case? has anyone else done it in an Essex school and did you have to get stuff unblocked or not?

I configure multiple kinds of iPads in multiple schools, I have taken to copying off any firmwares and apps I don't have from the configurator root folder on to a USB stick, but the trouble is sometimes it is too quick for me and deletes them before I can get to them. It allows me to assign licences as normal in Configurator 2 but then stop it and then add them "from my mac" without downloading them every time...much much quicker. I have had a google and it has taken me to many many dodgy websites, some only have versions that are years old, some a Russian, some want me to download "FREE EASY CLIENT FOR EASY INSTALL" -_- Has anyone found a good place I can get ipa files from?

Can't even get them to USB boot at this point, I get a message along the lines of "system is unable to USB boot please turn it on in the SCU" and then BIOS is totally void of any settings to do with booting. Have raised a case with ergo to see if they can help.

I have a trolley of Ergo B25M and trying to network boot them using a USB to Ethernet adapter Once I am in the BIOS there seems to be zero settings to enable network boot. F12 on boot gives me either "Windows Boot Manager" or "EFI Shell" Any ideas? Considering loading my MDT on to a USB stick and doing them one by one.

also as a side note, just running the "gallery setup.exe" in command line mode on a local machine with the gallery conent and configuration files all sitting locally on the desktop I cannot get it to do a damn thing! first it says "could not find source" then it says "could not load config" then I says "--allowdownload" and it kind of does a few things and then gives up (it accepts the config though!!!) here's a patebin of my cmd window so you can see what I am doing https://pastebin.com/Gu2d6HCr

Has anyone got this working? I have a PDQ package that works, I used the smart install manager to create an .mst which references a folder ".\gallery content" which is in the same folder as the MSI and the MST. when PDQ installs the software it just works and the gallery content is there. msiexec.exe /i "SMART Education Software 2013.msi" ALLUSERS=1 /qn /norestart TRANSFORMS="MySettings.mst" I am trying the same approach within MDT so the gallery content gets installed along with the app during the deployment, not having much luck however I tried just emulating the exact same approach, make the target dir the folder with the MSI, MST and the gallery content folder and then make the command line the same as the above line in italics. this didnt work (SMART installed fine but no gallery content) I have just now tried modifying the MST to reference the full UNC path so "\\MDT\DeploymentShare$\Applications\Smart\Gallery Content" and again, smart installs without any issue but no gallery content to be found. Little help please!

Hi All, So during the summer I pushed out Smart Notebook 11 on a new laptop deployment as they were using 10 and are not paying for 17 (old old old boards!) A teacher has approached me and said on her old laptop she used to have all the gallery content and she would like to have it back. I have searched the forums here but any threads referencing 11 are years old (understandably) and all the links go to 404. In summary: Where can I download the smart gallery content for smart notebook 11? What is the best way of pushing this out? Many thanks

The os for the old laptops is win7 and the new laptops is win10

Connecting new HP Laptops to older SMART Boards. The old laptops used to adjust their aspect ratio/resolution so that the image appeared but the new laptops seem to take precedence over the projector for the time being I have told them how to use Win + P to cycle through to second display only, which then makes the projector fill the smart board. But I would like it so that when you connect the VGA the image on the laptop adjusts itself (black bars) so that the image on the projector is full screen. Was sat there for about 20 minutes today trying all kinds of settings and just feeling more and more stupid! Please send help

I know from the title this is going to sound like a total PEBKAC question but it's got me stumped... We upgraded an environment to Server 2016 / W10 / Office 2016 from Server 2008 / W7 / Office 2007 One or two users complained of a text disappearing in their word docs (which upon inspection were 97-03 format). When they had a table (with text in each cell) and a cell in the middle of the table was split the text in the cell directecly next to it (to the right) disappeared and also the cell became unclickable see here for an example So my first thoght was let me see if I can make it do it, So I copied the doc to my laptop (also on word 2016) and opened it, and it displayed everything just fine. these laptops are all pretty fresh (built with MDT a few weeks ago) One teacher mentioned that it also displayed fine on another teachers laptop but I didnt see this happen so not the most reliable of sources. what are your recommdations with how to proceed here? Should I rebuild the laptop? (files are all redirected so it wouldnt take very long at all)

So I have the latest spark MSI going on in MDT with /passive /norestart but I will come back to some (not all) PCs like an hour later and it is still sitting there on "Installing Spark" with this window up and it stays like that for a long time (I think I've seen up to an hour) whereas other it may take some time but it goes on without much hassle. and occasionally it will throw some kind of .dll error and say "the installation will now terminate" I am not actually changing the application in MDT at all...it just seems totally random as to when it will play up. anyone else found this?

SOLVED Thanks for the reply, solved it in the end. just proxy being awkward, whats new. Why is was not working Netsh winhttp import proxy source=ie will change the proxy config in system32 by default and so then running the installer on a 64bit system will fail. As part of script you need to 1. Set winhttp proxy (as above) 2. Change dir to c:\windows\syswow64 3. Set winhttp proxy again (run same line as above)

Hi all, looking for some support to do with printing PDFs from WYSE terminals, I will try to keep it short and sweet... We have recently moved to server 2012 R2 and are experiencing some teething issues, this is one of them. they get this error when attempting to print PDFs only (printing anything else is fine) It is happening to only some of our WYSE terminal users (remote desktop) It can happen on all printers available to them or... sometimes can work when sent to a mono printer It is not intermittent, ie the user that is getting the issue will always get the issue no matter how many reboots or logon/logoffs you do. it is followed by another message that reads there are no pages selected to print Things that have been tried (mostly from google) Rebooting all servers involved (including the print server) I read that KB3114419 is the cause of this...our servers have not got this installed. Printing as an image within adobe printing to a mono printer (as above this works for the odd user, but does not work for others) protected view and security settings have been disabled in adobe The only temporary workaround I have been able to suggest is to logon as a user that is able to print, obviously not a viable solution going forward... Any suggestions really appreciated here, will try to provide any information required Thanks Elliott

Hi everyone, first post here and also fairly new to the IT industry but have spent a good portion of my life on computers, currently enjoying all the learning! anyway to the issue, so far 2 users that have been migrated to 365 from our exchange end up with the username that you type in as their unique identifier when first creating their exchange mailbox for example if it happened to me it would be: [email protected] should be my username but it ends up being [email protected], people can still email me at emarter but I need to use elm to log in (emarter is still their AD account and windows login) this only seems to happen after I have migrated them and I try to use the 365 portal to check if their mailbox is up and running. btw I did not set either of these users up in AD so could it be that they were incorrectly set up there to begin with and 365 is grabbing the wrong settings? it's starting to bug me as I don't know the cause of it and also outlook is seriously confused by a windows account called one thing but the email account being called another but both referencing the same person on AD but with different passwords... oh and that's another issue our password resets have stopped syncing with 365 too, so a user forgets their 365 password and it needs to be reset through 365 as AD doesn't sync the changes... phew
