I'm going to tell her about this thread - she's depressed about losing SIMS already!
  2. SIMS Options is briliant! I couldn't do Year 9 or Year 12 options without it.
  3. I just don't let anyone else have access to edit Student Details! Well just me and one other trusted colleague. It's the only way.
  4. We use Tucasi/Scopay - I'm not involved with it but there seem to be a lot of parental and staff complaints about it not working.
  5. We did this in my previous school. We inserted an extra period so early lunch was period 4a and late lunch was period 4b. Then (if I remember correctly) I used Year Blanking Codes to blank out the year that was on lunch. When we exported it to SIMS we had to be creative about the timings of the period as SIMS won't accept the overlapped times.
  6. Aah, they won't do it then... they will be too busy!
  7. Hi Phil Can I set this up for them globally - or do they have to do it themselves?
  8. I lost all my dynamic groups (lots and lots) during an upgrade and I haven't bothered using it since then.
  9. Used KKS at my last school. It was so much better than CallParents/Truancy Call. I gave the Contact Group a suggested list of fields that we need for emails (as we had in KKS years ago) but nothing ever came of it. And the training from KKS was really good.
  10. I don't think you can stop it - really annoying.
