Hi All, I am wondering if anyone can send me a test fax please. I will PM you the number. We are having a nightmare with openreach and our telephone company. All circuits are defined as our main number which i don't think is correct. So i am wondering if a fax is sent to whats supposed to be our fax number does the phone system then know its a fax. Thanks in advance.

Won't you be able to claim off the finance company under the sales of goods act? Electrical goods remaining in a good working condition for up to 6 years and if it's an all in price for the Mac and insurance so not two separate direct debits then surely the item isn't as described if you can't claim off the insurance.

I have net support notify! The office staff use it daily to send teachers messages. We have it set up as a group per class but the office staff change the drop down and select individuals so they can see if they are logged on in more than one place.

Hi, we have Paxton locks on our doors! We also have Riso printers with ID reader on. We don't have a printer that encodes the cards we just by Mifare 1K cards and they work fine.

Hi All, I have found the problem. I still do not no why it crashes the system but the problem is a Windows 7 Bug that has not been fixed as far as i can see. Basically the folder was compressed on a Mac then on a Windows computer when you unzip it, it then adds the encryption to the folder and the files. Why do .zip files from Mac OS show up as green/encrypted? - Saving the world, one bug at a time - Site Home - MSDN Blogs I still do not know why the network crashes but that is the reason for the folders not opening. -

Hi, I have implemented all the fixes as described in the above post. And also checked on the updates. All updates are installed on both the server and the workstations. I have the company name and website they are called planbee website is planbee.com I have contacted them to ask about encryption and if they know of any problems. I am just waiting to hear back. I haven't tried to open the file again since carrying out the above information to see if it still freezes the server but I hope to do this maybe tomorrow evening just to see what happens. Thank you for all your help and will keep you all updated. -

I have just had a look through the Shares the file is no where else as I deleted it. I have just restored the file from a backup to my personal laptop and tried to open it but it just comes up saying unspecified error! I have never seen anything like it other than on these 3 occasions. Would be interesting to see if the websites are the same! -

It crashes the server but then obviously because it's the main DC and file server it stops all the shares and redirected start menus and desktops! -

I'm waiting for the teacher to get back to me regarding the website. I have checked the server logs but there is nothing. The computer is currently turned off but will be able to check this Monday! -
At the beginning of the year a member of teaching staff downloaded a file to the network. It was supposed to be a teaching resource. When the teacher tried to open the folder it crashed the whole network. I rebooted the server which was the main domain controller and file server. This solved the problem but as soon as the teacher tried to access the folder again it done the exact same thing and again the network went down due to the main domain controller and file server freezing. This has now happened again with another member of staff and a different folder downloaded from a website and extracted to our shared drive. The only thing I can see is the file name is green which will be encrypted if I'm not mistaking? Why would this cause the server to freeze? Operating system: server 2012 r2 Memory: 12gb

Hi, I am just wondering if anyone else is having any problems? When i try to set up our email accounts in Outlook 2016 it just says Searching for your mail server settings. Doesn't seem to go any further or come up with an error. Thanks in advance.

I am waiting for another quote hopefully next week I will let you know what it comes back as.

Basically our server room is 150m away and we still have separate networks admin and curriculum due to Sefton councils intranet and a few other things. So we have to have fibre to the office cab so they can access these things. That's the only reason we have got fibre.

I have just been quoted £885 to do 150m run for 8 core.

Hi Ryan that will be great if you can give me a copy of this please!! Thanks in advance!

Can anyone recommend someone that would write a program for us? We want a calendar that sits in the top right hand corner of the screen on the desktop that only certain members of staff can edit!
