  1. The only thing thats really changed with the dock since the first release of Os X is that you can now move it to either the left or right side of the screen, without the aid of third party software. Maybe his monitor was giving that extra wheel look.
  2. Still does that, you need to turn on magnification in the Dock menu under the Apple menu
  3. Never used Macs and Os X then Alex?
  4. I've never really looked in their store to see what their selling but midman were the first producer to make a USB midi interface that worked with mac and was a reasonable price. This model infact, but if you need more outputs/inputs they do those aswell.
  5. You can go down the route Ric mentions by using Open Directory and Active Directory integration, though this seems like a lot of hard work. Theres a White Paper on this at http://www.afp584.com. Or you could look into a couple off apps namely Dave by Thursby and there is Mac Administrator by Hi resolution. Both are worth looking at the later probably more so. Can you not set your proxy to request a username and password when accessed from the macs?
  6. What you need is a USB midi interface a reasonable two channel device about £60, (shop around) is the Midiman Midi Sport 2x2 USB midi interface, this works with both Mac and Windows, you will also need a pair of standard midi leads as these do not come with the interface. You can see one here http://www.m-audio.com/products/en_gb/USBMIDISPORT2x2-main.html
