About Gramzon

  1. JUST BEEN READING LOADS OF FORUM THREADS ON EDUGEEK AND CAME ACROSS A TOPIC THAT SUGGESTED WINDOWS UPDATE MIGHT HAVE TURNED THE FIREWALL ON. HEY PRESTO IT'S FIXED Many thanks to all that helped.
  2. I've changed it to s:\sims but it hasn't made a difference. - - - Updated - - - Not really sure what to look for in wireshark if I'm being honest.
  3. They both seem to be correct, it does connect to SIMS eventually just takes a long time. the sims.ini: [LastChecked] SIMSInfrastructureSetup=5.592.2.0 [setup] SIMSDirectory=\\ServerName\Sims\SIMS SIMSSetupsDirectory=\\ServerName\Sims\SIMS\Setups SIMSDotNetDirectory=C:\Program Files\SIMS\SIMS .net Folder=SIMS Applications FinanceDirectory=C:\Program Files\SIMS\FMSSQL Connect.ini: [sIMSConnection] REDIRECT=\\ServerName\Sims\SIMS
  4. We have been experiencing some issues after the database was upgraded by our SIMS support to 2012, they have looked at it a few times and have concluded that the issue is with our network. However I don't see any issues. The issue we are experiencing is that clients connecting to SIMS take minutes to load and is longer than it used to be, however when signing in to SIMS on the local server the load time is much quicker. We are running full version of SQL 2012 on a Windows 2008 R2 server. Is there anything I can do to diagnose this issue and what type of network issues can cause this? Gramzon
