Some things you may not need depending on your companion, in the end I hardly put any points into Lockpicking since Cait can pick up to Master locks.. I believe Mr. Synth Investigator is good with hacking too.

I just use the hotkeys.. if you're firing, stimpacks don't do the animations so I can just press "0" and instantly heal (or go to my inventory and drink/eat). Starting a new playthrough as a sneaky female character. I'm bored to bits of my overpowered main character!

Do you have any kind of audio/visual system in place already in there? do you have speakers/amps?

I get the feeling the teen's parents are the ones pushing for that rather than the kid.

Depends on the person, you can certainly play the entire game without it I just like how it feels in this game so myself and my companion always wear it. I've got an unhealthy amount of sets and an even unhealthier obsession with upgrading and modding them. (Also 40ish fusion cores now)

Yup I agree, the other 2 fields are fine and I can manage the 1000 limit but that first field required me to go back and delete some parts.. not good!

FYI, jetpacks and landing on top of people in power armor is THE BEST THING EVER Now I've completed the game and I'm lvl 30~something, I've got over 35 fusion cores and two points into the perk that reduces the speed at which cores deplete. I'm hardly ever actually out of my power armor now, I've got a T-60E set with jetpack and modifications for myself and a T-60D set for my companion Cait.

Awful anecdote time. Before I was with my OH, I was 'seeing' a girl and one of the very first times I actually went to her house was because she had problems with her laptop.. (you can see where this is going, and no it's not like one of those dodgy movies where the plumber shows up!). Anyway, fixed the original issues without any problems (managed to look intelligent which was the main priority) and was just finishing the process of uninstalling Norton antivirus/internet security when all hell broke loose - blue screen, corrupt boot, then no connectivity once I managed to log in.. In the end I managed to system restore using a repair disc but it was really nerve-wracking! I have never felt like that when actually working, only when working on the devices of people I care about

There is something magical about commanding someone to get into power armor next to you and then getting in power armor yourself and being in sync with the other person. I want a mod that lets me get more followers so I can have a squad of power armor users..

Ah yeah the location will need to be something like D:\Documents\ rather than just D:\ Can he right click the D: drive and set location like before? as for access denied, right click the D: drive > security > edit button and make sure there's full control for his user account.

Right click the folders (Documents etc) and go to Location, then change to the D: drive. Shouldn't be really any pitfalls, I've done it fine.. though don't take my word for it!!

In terms of equipping things on followers, just put it on their inventory then click "T" or whatever the equip button is, this will force them to use it :3
