    Download and extract the archiveThe CMS archive contains a sub folder called Xibo-server-1.6.2, copy this folder into your web root and rename as necessary. In the simpliest of web server configurations the name of this folder will be the name of the URL you use to access the CMS. For exammple: "http://localhost/your target folder name" At this point we should also make a folder for the CMS library. This will be used to store images, videos and other file based media that is uploaded to the CMS. Once created make a note of the path as the CMS installation will require this information. Thanks, I've got to this point and I'm not sure where it's asking me to copy it too?

    My school has recently decided to buy a big flat screen for our staff room without really deciding why they want it. They like the idea of using it as a digital notice/message board for staff, Does anyone have any idea of software that might be good for this? ideally I would want staff to be able to update it themselves either on the TV itself or from another comp on the network..

    Hey all, I've got a HP Presario C700 laptop/notebook here. I've been playing with it for hours trying to get it to work. From boot all there is, is a white screen with some coloured lines on it, you don't see anything at all but it will still boot and load windows as normal as you can hear it but yeah there's no screen. So I've plugged in an external monitor with a VGA lead and on that, if I set the laptop to just use the external monitor everything works fine, you see it all from boot but if it has anything to do with the laptop itll give the laptop a white screen and the external monitor will have a working screen but itl go down to like 568x600 screen res and everything is wavy and moves slightly. I've tried it connected to the other screen and booting in to the BIOS and it all says its fine but I can only get into the bios with the sh*t res. from the event viewer and various pop up's I think it's the graphics driver failing but I cant find and/or it wont install an updated version of the driver Please help

    Wierdest thing.. I took a stroll to the server room for about 2 minutes, walked back and it was perfect, like completely normal again. Not a clue what happened or how it started working again :S

    Yeah its been restarted, unplugged and I've checked It has the right fuse

    ive just tested the same computer with a different monitor and it's the same problem so it's not a monitor hardware problem

    Hi, It's a Samsung monitor but it only has a VGA slot and no DVI and I've already tested it with a different cable. yes that was a screenshot, I didn't think that through.. it has Nvidia GeForce6150 LE

    I left for lunch, came back and my screen has double vision. I've checked with a different VGA cable and everything on my monitor is blurred to the left, I've not installed any new drivers recently, I've rolled back all my display drivers to no avail. I've used the monitor with a different computer and worked fine but not with the original computer and I've tried changing to various resolutions. Any Ideas? Here's a photo of what it looks like

    I will try this temp solution and see if I can get it going that way, bare with me.. Annoyingly the staff member just left for the weekend and took the laptop with her, I will carry on on Monday morning and let you know if the temp fix works Cheers guys

    I can not find the set ups folder, the only one I can see is archived setups and there isn't a simsinst.exe file in that either :S although it's the same mapped drive for sims for all the other laptops..

    I work in a primary school and SIMS is used by some of the administrative staff but all of a sudden on one of the staff laptops, SIMS suddenly won't open. I get the Error Message 'incompatible database' after she tries to log in. After playing around with it for ages, I think what happened is when the old IT Tech used Solus to do the summer update for SIMS this laptop wasn't updated. So I think it just needs the update and it should all work but Solus now permenantly says 'the machine cannot be contacted' so I can't update it that way. Our servers running windows server 2008r2 and our laptops are all win 7 but I know very little about Networking so im not sure how I could say do a manual install of the sims update on one client or how to get the laptop to connect with the Solus deploy agent? Any one have any idea's how to fix? I can get any info you may need.. Miles

    Hi Glenda, I just read your post about the web based notice board software and I'm having the same problem too. I was wondering if you still have a copy of what you made and if you wouldn't mind sharing it with me please?
