  1. I just stick with if you enjoy it and are good at it, then gender/race shouldn't be an issue. Chris
  2. It's mainly network / IT managers or Apple users that fall for it...... Wow, that's a controversial statement Chris
  3. that's where the whole situation gets a bit messy.... Chris
  4. I think the situation could just be random and more balanced than we thought. I would just put it down to peoples interests in computing etc, if you're good at it why not? Then again, there has always been a stigma on being in IT anyway, maybe that puts people off? Chris
  5. Interesting choice of wording: In 1967 the goat was left unmolested. In 1968 the goat was again left unmolested. In 1969 the goat was burned on New Year's Eve. Chris
  6. from their history page: In 2006 the goat survived a pyromaniac attack on December 15th. It was minor burned on its right leg. After that the goat survived in one piece. Chris
  7. Ahh, the yearly festivity of a straw goat being the subject of arson in a small village in sweden. Why it reminds me of..... Seriously though, I'm thinking of having a sweepstakes on how long it'll last! Chris
  8. Wow, 38th And i've been pretty quiet lately.... Chris
  9. I've only caught one episode (i know, i miss lots of tv). But it might have been the first one? where the woman joined them as the manager. The most memorable bit for me was the joke about the plan they come up with "I feel the plan has excited me so much, it requires my larger glasses" or something like that. But I think I would like it lots considering it's the guy who played dean learner in garth margenghi's darkplace (now that was hilarious). Chris
  10. hrmmmmm I find for skin it's soft....but yea, maybe they got steel and cotton confused? I've done it before! Maybe they have stupidly sensitive skin..... Chris
  11. Depends on what application you are talking about? Glass? Chris
  12. Lots of 0% offers around make things easier. But still, is jealousy enducing! Chris

as chris says i think in terms of ease, it's best to just have a list of net use [drive:] [path] /delete /yes net use [drive:] [path] /delete /yes net use [drive:] [path] /delete /yes net use [drive:] [path] /delete /yes Chris

to map network drives, usually a batch file will do it. so if you know the dos commands for mapping network drives, that's usually the easiest way. Create a text file (use notepad if you want) then save it as mapping.bat or something remember to save it as all files, otherwise it'll add the .txt extension on the end. here's an example map.bat script net use x: \\server\c$ Simple as that for mapping drives (prolly an easier way someone else can come up with) vbs scripts etc get more complex. Theres many ways to script! Chris
  18. Wow, that's quite a stash! Just think of the possible removal cost :S Chris

  22. Hehee, this is just gonna get better, i would wear a tee with that sort of logo on! I have to say I prefer the ones with the angelic touches... I would love a sticker "powered by Edugeek.net" That would be fantastic "Stress Relief coutesy of edugeek.net" or something along those lines. It's gonna turn into another slogan comp isn't it aswell :S Chris
  23. I drive my 1.8 16v xantia, and i can't imagine driving anything smaller, maybe a 1.6 considering the performance now would match my one these days, but even though i drive town mostly, knowing if i need to hit the speed that I can is reasuring. Also when boy racers think their little 1.0 106 can outrun mine, they get a bit of a shock. :evil Chris
  24. The ride is great, just a lot of body roll if you take things a bit quick. I'm just waiting to have to replace the spheres or something again! Has got quite a bit of go in it though Chris
  25. I'm 20 and I drive a 1996 1.8 16V Citroen Xantia LX, let the jokes and ridicule commence! It really does guzzle gas though, I get around 25-27Mpg town. Passed my test in november. The car was free (parents old car), but the insurance is much more than the cars worth... luckily got a loan from the bank of parents which i just finished paying off at £200 a month! Chris
