Here's one for the fellow cc3'ers Obviously we use software restriction settings to dissalow running from system32 etc etc. But some random edusoftware (microsmile maths) is needing to run from random locations. Any idea how I can specifically override the srs for the specific software. I thought i'd have some luck with writeaccess files, but alas, I didn't! Chris

Nice boring desktop, bit of CAD to make it happier (and the pinball is microsmile maths game ) Chris

it can get repetitive after a while...... If the missions were a bit different, like one boss you had to kill during/beat a race etc that would have added a lot more to the game. Chris

Here the network has been around for around 11ish years (in it's simplest form). I joined as a student in 1998, and have been working here since 2005. It's changed a hell of a lot Chris

You ensure that users of your network are safe from websites/content which may effect vulnerable people etc? Chris

By providing a network of learning resourcesn for students to research etc? A different approach to learning than books? More interactive learning? Facilities for communication etc? the list goes on............... Chris

Have a dual core machine seriously improves the speed of video editing, it's a very cpu intensive task, so 1 core can look after the operating system, while the other processes the editing etc. Plenty of ram is also essential, the higher speed and lower latency, the better. And if you're getting a new machine and have the money, 10-15000 rpm drives would do very well worth it! Or sata 300 drives anyway! A decent gfx card is a good bet, although not as vital as good cpu and memory) Chris

Ultimate seems to run ok on my new gaming rig spec: Core 2 Duo E6600 (2.4Ghz) 2Gb DDR2 Corsair Twinx PC6400 Ram Geforce 8500 GFX Card (am going to get another to sli it, not a hugely powerful card, and only £60 for DX10!!) 160Gb Sata2 System Drive 320Gb Sata2 Storage Drive But yea, security software seems to be a bit clunky on it, given the companies didn't get much time to develop due to microsofts initial adimance that the kernel should be kept secure.... Zonealarm Beta seems to make the machine boot up pretty slowly, admitely zonealarm pro seems to drag my xp machine down on boot aswell.... Chris

I live next to the beach, so in the summer it's quite easy to go down for a swim around 6-7am/pm when all the tourists have left the beach, is very nice and relaxing, I try and bodyboard when i get the chance, but nothing serious. Go for a walk along the prom quite often too! I'm also seriously considering getting some rollerblades again, as they we're amazing fun! (i last had rollerblades about 10ish years ago). The family got one of those cross-trainer thingys a few years ago, but it's just like that yellow pages advert "my life was really unorganised before i got this equipment" with all the clothes hung on it! I always find gym style exercise too boring, i prefer going out and doing stuff that's fun and not just a chore. Chris
