That's already disabled, as when logging onto a workstation all is fine. Spose I can try it locally.

No same script for both staff and students.

We use mandatory profiles for both staff and students, and nothing different to win staff log on to a desktop. I've even tried putting the vbs script locally on the laptop.

I'm a bit confused.com this morning. I have recently bought some new laptops, putting xp pro on them. They are all added to the domain wirelessly and work absolutely fine. The issue I'm having is the internet when a member of staff logs in. Basically the internet home page/settings are configured via a log in VBS script. When a student logs in the script works fine. It sets the home page absolutely perfectly. When a member of staff logs in, it provides the proxy settings but doesn't set the home page. Instead they get the 'choose your settings' page. It is IE7. It's as if the policies aren't working correctly. I don't understand why it would work for students and not staff. Any idea's? Everything else works, such as folder redirection.

Tomorrow we are changing our web filtering to Smoothwall from websense. Currently members of staff are not allowed access to video sites such as youtube but this is changing. My question to my fellow comrades, do you have a acceptable web policy of some sort? If so, what sort of things have you got on it?

This has probably been asked many a times but can't seem to find an answer. Currently printers are added via script apart from one ICT suite. The Black one is on the print server, the colour one is added via directly to the IP of the printer. Is there a script command to set the black as default? The desktops are XP and we're on Server 2003. Thanks y'all.

I did a malware scan but it found nothing. It did have a trojan which i deleted succussfully but that deleted the missing file. In the end I formatted the drive. Thanks everyone. On a seperate note, I'm not having issues with the sound drivers. The motherboard is a Gigabyte GA-8SIMLNF. I though the audio drivers were the Realtek AC97 but when halfway through the install the PC restarts. Any idea's?

On startup the PC says Error loading C:\Windows\bdxdpl.dll. I haven't got an XP home disk. Do you think it would be on a pro disk?

Does anyone know where I can get dll's from? I missing bdxdpl.dll for an XP Home PC. Thanks.
