Finally had time to look properly in to this with a working solution. Obviously try at own risk with a secondary hap server !!! 2 files need modification: masterpage.master and hap.web.js.js masterpage.master needs both the goggle Java Scripts for analytics's and the code in the master attachment just before the closing head> line. https://support.google.com/analytics/answer/7478520?hl=en&ref_topic=1008079 then in hap.web.js.js function starting on line 252 needs replacing with see hap.web.javascript.txt That's it. when a student uses a on-line resource we see the events arriving in goggle analytics's and can see what on-line services get used and if a sites usage justifies there renewal cost p.s i changes goggles example code so sites open in a new window if you dont want this behaver replace "window.open" with "document.location" in the masterpage.master file hap.web javascript.txt master extra code.txt

We use HAP as the main school student homepage. We want to work out how often students use some websites the school pays ££££ to subscribe too. goggle analytics's would be the obvious option to record a event when they click on a link. https://support.google.com/analytics/answer/1136920?hl=en extract You'll also need to add (or modify) the onclick attribute to your links. Use this example as a model for your own links: Check out example.com Dose anyone know where I could adjust the "a href" to include the needed onclick="trackOutboundLink('http://www.example.com'); return false; so they match the example in the suport.google.com link above

Keep the suggestions coming we will need 3 quotes so even if its not the one you would chose it will help. estream looks very good with its locally hosted option. I also know some VLE's have video options like firefly / moodle witch also can be locally hosted to reduce load on the internet feed.

Thanks for the info. is e-stream hosted locally or in the cloud? Im guessing cloud but certainly looks better than Microsoft stream and needs further investigation. Only other alternatives I have to add so far is changing VLE to firefly as they have a locally hosted option, but Free share-point to a paid for VLE may be pricier than than this years remaining budget for September.

Thanks for the 1809 heads up. depending on the school area we use either. GPO to 'Delete cached copies of roaming profiles' on logoff works fine. e.g keep no roaming profile. other than that we use Delprof2 with a GPO to copy the file locally and a start-up script using a signed powershell script. been very reliable with 1706/1709.

Dose anyone have a recommendation for a school internally hosted media server. We currently have videos in a mapped network drive divided in to subject and year groups so users can access age appropriate videos. The mapped drive is to help prevent internet overload as well as removed youtube videos and issues of adverts. As more and more students use tablets/laptops for homework in school and at home, we are looking at some sort of streaming alternative with AD authentication, so students can access files from home but also in school without using internet bandwidth. Microsoft stream is a obvious choice for external access but the issue is mainly around copyright we have licensed a few videos so can show to students but with the proposed EU requirement for hosts to check videos for copyright there may be issues going forward. It also has a issue with provision of age appropriate videos e.g easy to make a geography channel but cant then limit videos to y7 --- y12 etc. would need a channel for each yeargroup. so channels will either end up with duplicate videos or students have a long list of channels. internal streaming would be a issue as its cloud based not local. Plex is one recommendation but like many it aggregates videos as TV shows and moves. ideally we want to preserve a hierarchical file structure with AD groups. Code our own. Storing the videos in a web html5 suitable format is workable but not everyone would be able to stream a 1080p video on there home internet so something like a you-tube clone with different quality levels would be best. basicly a lot of work to make it work well. So anyone got any flash player free recommendations?

HAP MyFiles and Azure AD Web Application Proxy and SSO
rheibel replied to rheibel's topic in Home Access Plus+
Finaly have everything working. i plan to write up my install but basic instructions are: 1. Follow install guide included with HAP+ https://github.com/techienickb/hap/blob/master/docs/Documentation_Documentation.pdf 2. Amend install according to 10.6 video by Nick http://www.edugeek.net/forums/home-access-plus/191918-hap-v10-6-release.html 3. remove line from MyFiles/Default.aspx var ad = ""; 4. if student/staff files %homedir% is on another server in AD Deligate the cifs roles to your HAP+webserver extra. add public and internal url's of HAP+ server to your Goggle Chrome GPO's for auto login. -
We have used https://www.join.me/ with 2 students using ipad's but android and windows also work. It costs a bit but has been very reliable. orange box around what screen is shown remind staff when not to be on sims etc... teachers share a login unique to each student so there is a static meeting code for the student e.g they 'open app' press 'connect to meeting' done.

Find this software very useful but just adding that we too have one candidate who is entitled to use spell-check during exams. we just give them word 2013 but a recent issue with words calculator/embedded excel functions possibly being used in the school over the road resulted in SLT asking me to find a alternative. Definitely a config file option and would-be good if there was a visual cue to identify the laptop to invigilators e.g spell-check symbol shown next to file-name or when active menu bar is a different colour etc... Also it would be good if a page brake would show up on screen visually could be a line of ------------------- solid line. its a minor complaint but one some students have made to the exams officer.

HAP MyFiles and Azure AD Web Application Proxy and SSO
rheibel replied to rheibel's topic in Home Access Plus+
Been a busy few days but have finaly got time to give this another go. myfiles now shows the correct folders for all users but is giving access denied errors if the folder is on another server. local folders work fine e.g c:\test works \\server\folder\folder dose not. I cant remember fully but recall having a similar issue with v9 and something on codeplex's HAP page helped me out. It is probably a simple issue. but cant spot a difference between this 10.6 install with SSO or our other 10.5 with forms authentication. other than the auth mode being set to windows. -

Whilst I know im restarting a old thread a promising continuation of open-sankore is OpenBoard. OpenBoard, tableau blanc interactif open source pour les écoles et universités. https://github.com/OpenBoard-org/OpenBoard has several features missing from our old version of sankore e.g customisation of ink colour and a simpler updated QT5.5 interface. They have also removed some of the more confusing half finished features.
