Have you tried a full import and full sync on the local AD connection? I usually run a delta sync and that works for most things except if i am importing new OUs and things. Even if i select the correct containers and things they won't show unless a full import and sync on the AD connection are run. Do not run an export on AD unless you want issues though.

Intune / SCCM with co-management may do what is required, you could then shift the updates payload for the laptop devices to use Microsoft and leave desktops on SCCM/WSUS.

Think i had something very similar recently. Check the server firewall status as mine is usually disabled on the device but reset back on for some reason and caused chaos with similar errors.

Mixcraft is the way to go.

Did anyone find anything useful as an alternative to MLS in a secondary? We have had issues ourselves and the support is terrible. Hours on the phone waiting or never getting a response via email. When i got through on the phone a week or so ago the engineer was extremely difficult to deal with and you could tell he was jaded and wanted to blame all of the issues on us to get rid of the problem. Wouldn't let me get a word in and then had the cheek to say i wouldn't let him speak!! When i tried to go through my actions step by step he kept stopping me to argue that the product does not work with Chrome. It took 5 minutes of frustration before he let me explain i was only trying it as a test but that had not worked for obvious reasons so i reverted back to IE. Currently i have to run the machine with full local admin rights as one of their exe files has to be loaded to work with fingerprint devices and it just will not load with elevated permissions or run as a service. They failed to help me at all, just pointed the blame. Oh and then failed to call be back at 2pm as agreed.

Printers been deleting here since Windows 10 on random machines. A few people report it every day across the site. We have tried dozens of things but now just gpupdate via Impero to restore them. We also use a GPO to remove profiles every 7 days. Glad to see it is not just us having this issue.

MySQL in schools - How do you make this happen?
DarkenRahl replied to RJohnson91's topic in How do you do....it?
Everything seems to be working except for the MySQL.exe bit for me. I get the following error when running the batch script from a share where it sits next to the executable. ERROR 2003 (HY000): Can't connect to MySQL server on 'XX.XX.XX.XX' (10061) I believe i have added the port correctly on Smoothwall and set the commands for the server to listen to all hosts with the 0.0.0.0 stuff mentioned earlier. I get the same message on my own machine so I don't think it is a VLAN issue. I have also even tried allowing the correct port in and out on the ubuntu server itself incase a firewall was stopping it. No joy. Any ideas? -
Has anyone tried adding an MDM to a Ctouch Board with android on it in order to manage the app deployment?

If free, the best I used was https://en-gb.wordpress.org/plugins/backwpup If paid, the best one I currently use is: https://ithemes.com/purchase/backupbuddy/

I have just spoken to Meraki directly and as we are under the 100 device limit we are able to use the full features that are used in the enterprise version at no cost. Apparently we are on the legacy version and can just upgrade to the full version. The only time we will need to pay is if we have more than 100 devices. Good news for us and those with 100 or less.
-
Bad news for those of us on Meraki though. The free version that many of us use will not see these new needed features. They are now pushing them out to paid versions. It was always only a matter of time before they started to do this. https://community.spiceworks.com/topic/988003-meraki-mdm-and-upcoming-ios9 https://meraki.cisco.com/blog/2015/09/new-strategic-partnership-and-immediate-support-for-ios-9/

We used 10 devices per Apple ID and it has been working so far without prompts all the time. Not sure if we could use only 1 but i recall seeing in iTunes that you can only manage so many devices so didn't risk it.

So we created an SSID with a basic password for quick enrolment. The actual Wifi in the MDM profile for the school that we want them to use day in and day out is also configured. It connects to the basic SSID, I manually type in the apple ID i want it to use and then it starts to download my apps..... It stays on the basic SSID used to enrol though and never "flips" across to the one in the Meraki MDM profile. Do i now have to manually forget this WIFI and hope it just connects to the other one? If we have to connect it to Wifi manually then swap it across to the one we actually want to use that seems a right pain. Anyone else have a suggestion as to how they are doing these things? I don't want to have to type in a long secure password each time we set one up and I don't want to leave them on some really basic quick non passworded wifi either.

Hi All Was wondering how useful DEP is going to be to us. I have it set up but can't see how it makes things easier. We currently use configurator to set up iPads and during the rebuild process we manually input one of a few apple IDs we use for the trolley (1 Apple ID per 10 devices) along with the password. We also use configurator to get an initial SSID pushed to each device with a horribly long password for the iPads. Once they have the wireless key from configurator and can get to the internet, they then communicate with Meraki MDM and pull down apps and further settings. So essentially the configurator part was just being used to get the wireless details to them to allow them to talk to Meraki and the internet. We always had to type in the Apple ID bit manually for each rebuild. If we go DEP i take it we can't use configurator. So... if we delete the device and want to rebuild it we have to manually input not only the Apple ID email and password during setup, but also the awfully long wireless key. Is that right? How is that Zero touch? Apologies if i am completely getting it wrong. Anyone able to enlighten me? Do you all have SSIDs with no passwords they all connect to? Do any of you also set up a few or even a single Apple ID to push the apps to? How do you get round these things? Are you all typing them in manually on each device as the kids screw them up and they need resetting? No matter how much we nail down in restrictions they always manage to mess about with them. Thanks

Maybe run from USB instead? How do you know they were actually run from H:? Perhaps he dumped them in there afterwards.

With the slower original version of this Microserver I installed 16GB ram and a load of 2tb drives and happily ran over 8-9 vms using esxi off a usb stick. I had a couple of 2008 domain controllers and about 3 or 4 more running stuff like SCCM and WSUS at the same time to test. Along with a few clients i turned on as and when i wanted to test them on the domain. Speeds were fine. Now use it for xbmc movie and tv storage. Had issues trying to run 4 additional sandisk SSD drives in an icydock which fitted into the dvd bay but i think that was esxi not playing nicely with them. I recall i had them all working fine when i was testing hyperv on the server before this. Great little servers.

Just get a one of the Razer Mice and you can use the Razer Synapse software to macro anything. You should be able to set it to toggle a click on and off or even press and hold down to continue clicking. Used to work great in Wow when i wanted to afk macro Battlegrounds all night
