Are they both definitely Office 365 A1 licenses? Or is 1 a Microsoft 365 A1 license? We had a similar issue and it was due to us needing the Microsoft license as opposed to Office 365.

+1 for Securly. Use it across a few schools with very few issues. Where we have had issues, they've been very good at helping us. At one school we moved away from Lightspeed as we were having a lot of issues with the client, the fact that you need the client, and that you need (or least used to) an on-site appliance for BYOD.

DirectAccess was fairly simple to setup DirectAccess | Microsoft Learn Always On VPN is it's successor but not used it/set it up About Always On VPN for Windows Server Remote Access | Microsoft Learn Both of these would allow devices to connect to your network from home and showing as online in SCCM. Would that fix the issue?

This is a downside. Thankfully it's very rare we have to do that, but it was even harder in the before picture for us to trace anything! Unless you can afford something like this that is cable management, ethernet cable management, network cable management, patching frames, patch panels (patchsee.com)

I would have at least 1 above or below a patch panel, so if you have 2 together, leads can escape somewhere. I created a design in Excel with a before and after. I've attached it if it's any help. Cab- New layouts v2.1.xlsx

I much prefer brush management and I think it might help you on this occasion too. The job below was particularly satisfying. Far too many redundant patch leads so checked switch management software to work out what hadn't been active for x amount of days, made a patching schedule, reconfigured the switches and used new colour coded patch leads. Just the next 5 cab rooms to go......

We've had the same issue for a little while now and we use ESET so it's not specific to Sophos. ESET and Senso have been in dialogue and I believe that Senso released a new client recently to fix the issue, then quickly pulled it again. Senso's 'fix' is to disable WFP which isn't great as that disables half the features! Senso Support | Cloud Classroom and Network Management Solution

[php] Adaptive HTML in a PHP require page var?
adamsund replied to Garacesh's topic in Web Development
That code was to show you what you need to add, it won't work on it's own. You could try something like this but otherwise you will have to make some coding changes for what you want to achieve I think. Get only filename from url in php without any variable values which exist in the url - Stack Overflow -

Something like this Codeply v2 -
Just to come back to this, we were back and forth with this issue for a few weeks. We kept thinking we'd sorted it but we hadn't. We have now finally sorted it which is probably a bit of a niche issue, but hopefully might help someone else. We use Securly for filtering and this problem only affected Intune devices. 1 of our policies was to set a global proxy for the PAC file supplied by Securly. We weren't able to add the username to the PAC file for seamless sign-on as Intune doesn't support variables, but it was working anyway. Then out of nowhere we had these issues where Outlook and Onedrive weren't working. As soon as we removed the reg key for the PAC file, it started working. We created a Powershell script that adds the key, along with the username to the registry and everything is working again now. Hopefully this will help people at least narrow the issue down!

We had something similar last week and ipconfig /release and ipconfig /renew fixed it instantly.

We transferred all on premise home drives and shared areas into OneDrive and SharePoint what must be over 5 years ago now. One of my technicians created a script that added the desired SharePoint to sync in explorer which made it a lot easier for them to transition. We also created an online directory so they could add SharePoints to explorer at their leisure. Always worked brilliantly, and some of these shared areas are massive. If a member of staff gets a new device, we encourage them to sync through Teams rather than shortcuts. There is also the option to be able to add SharePoints to explorer through Intune or GPO, though it does come with caveats. These days I prefer to educate users how to setup their own environment rather than us dictate how it should look.

Securly - slow / unresponsive YouTube and Gmail

I use Securly at 3 of my schools and we have no issues like you’re describing. I’d contact their support, or look at it being an environment issue. -
Filtering/Firewall quotes
adamsund replied to mdrabble's topic in Internet Related/Filtering/Firewall
Securly - Web Filter for Schools is well worth a look at. Completely cloud based so no on-site appliances. Works via PAC file on managed devices or DNS for anything else on the network. Simple process to install the SSL certificate for BYOD devices and separated DNS for guest network that doesn't require SSL certificate. User authentication via Office365 or Google.
