Got a dell laptop that doesn't want to connect to any network prior to log on- have 7 of the same model and having no problems with those. This is also happening on a dell of a different model. I have updated all related drivers aswell as the bios. connects fine after log on but nothing before- is there something I am missing? Sorry if this is the wrong thread.

Still having issues? Can access the app store fine on a mobile connection but on the SWGFL line im getting very sketchy connections to the app store.

I think it is starting to sink into SMT that we need to move away from the Grid- more and more of our services are cloud based and they want to invest in more bandwidth heavy software when we can barely handle downloading email. Every day I have to deal with a SWGFL related issue and its just a complete waste of time. We are central to the town so its not like we are out in the sticks so you would think we could receive a suitable connection! A lot of local schools here are considering moving so the grid need to improve or face a loss in customers. In regards to the comment earlier about less burden on the line- that is very true and we could see some improvement on speeds, but we currently pay quite a large amount for a pretty terrible service so I don't think many schools will put up with paying more for something that simply doesn't work.

Hi all, Anyone else not able to access the mac app store on mac? Trying to download El Capitan to update my ipads and getting no where. Again the SWGFL has to make even the simplest of tasks difficult.

SWGFL is anything but cheap to us- been looking round and we could get 8x the speed for the same money or the same speeds for a fraction of the costs. Prices will only increase as more schools jump ship!

Some sites have been taking over 10 minutes to load here since the start of term. Connection is becoming increasingly useless. Dont even bother calling support now- my staff are just used to constant rubbish speeds.

Veeam works really well aswell! I moved my entire network to my new hosts using only veeam. Free version should do it just fine!

Ok- it appears the SWGFL have made the changes to the firewall I requested and FMS is now working with my log on. However it does not allow the biz managers account to send mail. So I take it this is now a O365 permissions issue!

Dry if you could do that would be a great help! Thanks FN-GM will give this a look over now- have had all the O365 ports open for our IP range and still no joy. Currently in the process of setting up a SMTP server.

ahh see I thought it would be more difficult than that. Had to get it sorted in about week last year as no one had sorted it while they were waiting to employ someone, so probably got confused in that madness! Thanks guys

I am looking to move my EES agreement to a different reseller. We are currently in year 2 of a 3 year agreement set up by the previous NM with a company that the school would much rather dissociate itself with. How would I go about moving to another reseller? Or is this something I will just need to wait out?

Anyone else using FMS with O365? Currently having issues setting up the email side of things within FMS after we have moved to O365. At the moment information regarding BACS payments are not getting out! Our LEA are recommending setting up an SMTP server onsite- is this what you are all doing?

Currently needing to make some changes to my phone system to reflect some new opening hours and staff changes. User changes I can do easily but I need to disable the night mode. However I can see no way of doing this! Anyone got any experience of this?

My galaxy note did this- give the charging port a clean out with an air duster and that should sort things out.

Sorry could of made this more clear. back up to A Copy backups to B once a month Remove previous months backup on B before copying new ones

Currently playing around with file copy on Veeam B&R trial while I wait for finance to buy my full license. I need to replicate the backups from one of my servers to the other. This seems simple enough but I want it to remove the old copies of any backups that have replicated over in the past. Is there any way of doing this? I am to replicate the backups from my main back up server once a month to another server in another building.

We have recently bought two new servers that have been set up with esxi 6.0. My current servers run 4.1 and we will need to migrate some of the servers over to the new boxes, what would be the best way to go about this? I have tried adding the hosts to the 6.0 vcentre but it says that is does not support esxi version 4.1.0.

Managed to get it installed. Need to copy the iso to a usb then run it in HP Intelligent Provisioning and configure all the settings from there!
