Inventry is our one sticking point at the moment. We have salamander provision users into our central net2 server. When cards are assigned here they write back to ad pager field which papercut syncs asked inventry if they can sync in this as well from ad or net2 direct to make it more seamless for the user but atm they say not.

Smoothwall Youtube filtering
Chclark replied to tdk1069's topic in Internet Related/Filtering/Firewall
I have a call logged with them atm as Twitter isn't filtering properly we have certain feeds allowed school feeds etc. If a student follows this to Twitter and then search's it lets them go away from the approved feeds to anything. When the engineer called about this he mentioned there's a similar issue with YouTube and both issues needed to go to developers. Not much help but worth asking if it's the same YouTube issue. -
Keep it simple supplied cases for our lenovos.

Microsoft Endpoint Manager- iOS Management
Chclark replied to EssentialRug's topic in Cloud Services
And all the profiles fully removed if you look in the profile list. Never seen one do this before as we have just gone through switching devices from one MDM to intune and once it was dep enrolled to intune ot allowed removal of the old profile which let us do anything we wanted on the device till it renerolled into intune after an erase. -

Odd. I've only seen it not allow app removal when block deleting apps is enabled. Removing profile should allow the app to be removed is it all apps it doesn't allow removal of? -

Have you installed via a synced vpp app in intune or added it via the store in intune. Also if it's not letting you remove has your restriction policy got block deleting apps turned on? -
They will ask for a email to send the credit code to where you can then redeem within asm to add the credit so you can purchase your apps.

As far as I know this isn't new. School we had before ESS owned Sims moved to integris but wanted to keep FMS only but had to pay full price of Sims just for FMS

ours pxe fine with rankie usb ethernet adapters. very flaky though one minute will build a device plug the next in and it just keeps rebooting the device while loading build page. i had to FN +f12 to pxe

No problem. I've mainly know schools use lightspeed had a few in meraki and one is mosyle I quite like intune and with abit of effort works well for the trust I work for now. Moved all the individual schools devices into a single ASM account for easy management.

I could be wrong but think it only syncs the vpp infrequently. I generally manually run the sync if I know I've just purchased apps for them to show up quicker once I've done this then usually in 5 mins it appears in the apps list after a refresh. But I've left it before also and next day apps have been waiting.
-
Not that I've noticed usually 10-15 minutes sometimes quicker, android seems to be even faster to push apps out from intune it's near instant that they pick it up.
-
No problem hope it helps but just shout if you need anything. We don't push any of the intune/company portal apps these only seem to be needed for a Byod or device a user signs into. Ours are just pick up and use shared devices.
-
I've set ours up to dep enroll to a profile a group is made with dynamic rule to add the devices joined with which ever profile to the group. Apps are assigned to that group. Device is turn on it enrolls automatically stright through to the home screen and continues pulling policy's etc down.
-
Depends on how there set up ours don't have company portal there just a iPad with a select number of apps pushed to them.

Have used the lenovo now a few times very nice tab. we use them as an alterntive in some of the schools managed on Intune. Great for a kid IMO. had some of the samsungs as well also very nice but usualy more costly and some complaints ive seen is the expandable memory on these can only be used for photos and files cant transfer apps over.

2021 -- what anti virus are you using at home?? - and password manager
Chclark replied to mikeprice's topic in Windows 10
Defender and bitwarden it's free and open source , can host it yourself if wanted. And the premium perks don't cost much well worth it for such a good manager. -

if this is for the HID firmware update to resolve the BSOD issue with windows 10 1903 or higher its expected im told as the promethean driver software is no longer needed on the pc, and you should use the windows 10 calibration tool going forward.

Thank you updated to 4.6.2 and all working supprised that it’s not mentioned in some release notes somewhere.

we are currently having issues with this, Machines already with the agent and sims installed appear to be updating fine with sims\fms. fresh built machine selected add sims machine in targets and it installs the agent then goes no further, also noticed that on these machines we have tried to install to the agent version isn't reporting in solus3, our local sims support are now saying its not suppose to push sims out and solus is just a sims update tool and you have to manually install Sims on new machines.
