  1. Indeed Ben. I did that in my last house because it also covered a horrible old wall.
  2. 9 time out of 10 it is your fence to the left of your property as you look out the back... I think. Regardless left or right it is normally the same. The council will also know that too!
  3. Speak to them and if they don't get their ass in gear speak to the council. It is their duty to maintain party boarders.
  4. My apologies, my daily mail levels of discrimination are lacking...
  5. Daily Mail has enough problems, reporting that these storms are caused by gays, single mums, Muslims, the lower class and anyone younger than 35.
  6. Be safe Elsie
  7. Reminds me when I was stuck in Boston due to a broken plane. Last flight due out. All staff buggered off and when the flight didn't go they had to get night staff to help out...
  8. Where in the country are you Cam?
  9. How did our respective homes, garden, trees, cars etc survive? I've noticed one tile on the ground so far (and had to retrieve my bin from a neighbours garden...). If that is all then not bad.
  10. After reading more stories from other airports and the capacity issues I no longer find this story as amusing....
  11. Superb news... finally
  12. Home... After 1.5 hours at Southampton as every route into Portsmouth was down, they paid for a taxi to take groups of us. And then he was a moaning sod, I mean you are getting paid regardless you will put in a decent claim stop moaning that you are driving so far out of town...
  13. Plans always prefer to land into the wind. And yes, very true Mike, but still it is the distance travelled compared to somewhere else in the UK.
  14. But planes are landing though. Oh this one had a couple of issues. Maybe head north a hundred miles, not 600 miles east...
  15. Did this picture upload? If not I will send when I get home. Is Waterloo station at a virtual standstill
  16. Have to get the essentials. It is the end of the world after all! Just think back to snow days when everyone panic buys everything they can... For what is ALWAYS 2 days max of disruption... don't we all go for a week without shopping?!!!
  17. Just read this on BBC news live update on travel chaos: We've been told that the inbound flight tried to land twice and couldn't because of high winds. It was diverted to Amsterdam to refuel. Ummmmm it had enough fuel for Amsterdam but not one of a dozen UK airports... or another couple of goes?!
  18. Nothing is leaving for Portsmouth. So hopped on a train for Southampton and fingers crossed trains are running from there! It is closer to home!
  19. How ironic that you get better signal under the sea (full little mermaid song needed!) Than we all do above ground!!! Just pulling into St Pancras now so now the real fun begins!!
  20. I'm already looking at London hotels...
  21. Depends when I finally get to London, probably between 5.30 and 6pm... It is absolutely necessary... well yes I would like to get home tonight!
  22. Right... If this is just for Xmas... have we not learnt to buy a good few days prior.. or get delivered! If this is added to because of the storm.... my god it isn't exactly the Philippines Tsunami... Chill people! I remember earlier in the year how rammed it was for easter weekend... I mean the shop was closed Sunday ONLY it was even open the Friday and Monday (Sunday hours)... It was like a scene from a zombie film... on not just because it was chavvy Portsmouth!
  23. I'm in Derby. Home is Portsmouth. I'm guessing London... any advances?
