I'm usually an ENTP when I take these sort of tests? Personality test based on C. Jung and I. Briggs Myers type theory What are you? Si PS If you refuse/refute these sort of tests - please post here anyway
-
Interesting viewpoint here Donald Clark Plan B It actually matches with using them at KS1 but not upper KS2 and above Simon

@DavKellyPro I'd love to have such a system in my schools but its one of the downsides of having RBC t'internet - they just don't seem to understand the necessity of such a setup 1st thing that will be done if any of my schools goes academy is to ditch CLEO Simon
-
If their server fails (with no 2 hours SLA fix support in place) then they have no data either SImon Plus the school sec knows all their names and where they live
-
Aah - now we see you are just a tech tart who wants shiny shiny Si

I'm looking to come back tomorrow with a Note 2 or the S3. (as long as Phones4U make me an offer I can't refuse - but it'd better be good as MrsW will be replacing the Stags head with something else if I DONT do a good deal At the moment, the S3/Note range is the no-brainer (is like buying a Merc - you know its going to work well) - you just need to decide on what size you want/need and what price There's always better/bigger/model coming out next week/month. Carpe diem I say Simon
-
What are people currently paying for S3/Note2 per month -not including fantastic deals that you Lord Sugar wanabees have negoiated - just looking for the normal going rate £25/£30/£35/£40???

Nice little challenge for the weekend I use Redo backup as my main desktop imaging solution nowadays as its VERY simple, needs NO server configuring setup (images just held on shared folder or portable hard drive) It would be nice to have a pre-configured CD for each school/unique image that automatically (as much as possible anyway) fills in the right server adddress/login details/image folder/name etc so that all I have do is stick it in and click on restore and then go. (I get bored having to type in serverip/foldername/username and selecting the folder for that type of machine ) Anyway, the question is is it possible to mount image on windows machine, edit some scripts within the image and re-burn the image? (prob not practical) If not, same question for doing it within Linux - if so how do I mount an image so I can edit its contents and then resave it? regards Simon PS Awaits the flood of, why don't you use clonezilla/fog/W2k15 etc answers

em - cause you look just as much of a geek wearing a bluetooth headset as putting a large book to your ear I'm back on now for the Note - now I know you don't need a man-bag for it and @Domino says its OK cause he's cool (For a geek that is) Si
-
I don't wait for tomorrows any more as have less of them left in the bank compared to yesterdays Its the S3 or the Note 2 - and only the Note 2 if someone male says they are fine I know I'm being sexist here but females win if they use handbags and therefore have room for a Note - people who just carry wallets in pockets are disadvantaged on this front - maybe I just need a man-bag! Simon
-
Phones 4U "might" be able to do me a deal on a new contract. I'm either going for the S3 or the Note 2 My only concern is - is the Note 2 TOO big. Who's got one and whats it like in practice (pocket wise/car mounted wise)? Simon

Sometimes, we have to remember how much £7-50 a month really is in today's money Simon Says him who won't pay out out £5 (as that's just plain extortion) for a case for his Raspberry Pi computers -

Of courseI I didn't know of migration tools. But now that I have that knowledge the world will be my oyster again Si -

Days starting off well - jsut sitting at home PC and Dropbox popped up a msg saying a file (egrep.exe) had been deleted from a folder (It was part of the Arduino software package) Went into Dropbox site and looked at events and it named which school where the instruction to delete came from. (Which I'm not at) Very strange considering its a technical folder that no-one except me knows about but makes me think has this sort of thing happened before - I only noticed this one because I was sitting at a machine at the time! Has my great "Security by obscurity" defences been breached Simon

No Win98 support I can live with it here as I'm just wanting autostart of the old w2k3 server VM after power failure as it still does the DNS/DHCP for the network and I can't be bothered re-entering all the WiFI AP and printer reservations into the host W2k8 one. Simon -
Hey - I'm into Hyper-V now However, it is just to run a WFWG3.11 VM Simon
