Thanks for the feedback, the previous versions will only work with the following three conditions: 1. Previous version backups are only visible to the software within one hour of creation date/time (This was deliberate to stop people in the afternoon exam seeing peoples work in the morning exam). 2. The backup location has to be that of the current build of the software you are running (for example Im running v2.1.1.1 so the correct path it will look in is: C:\ProgramData\ExamWritePad\ExamWritePad\2.1.1.1\) 3. The auto save and auto backup are only done when there is activity with in writing window. If you stop writing, after the next autosave/auto backup, it stops the timer and does not restart it until you start writing again. No changes, no backup or save required effectively speaking... Please can you retest with the three above conditions in mind while I also test your theory, and let me know of your outcome. I suspect you are correct but just need to make sure and corners are covered :-)

Yes of course, I will add an option in that if you select BTEC from the exam boards it will drop the numbers only candidate function. Give me a day to sort it out :-)

Ok so I have sorted out the issue and yes it is a bug. What I was doing is setting the font for printing after setting the text for printing, thus is resets an formatting optionsd like UNderline, bold etc.. Have now set the font first, then setting the text to print now retains the formatting. I will post a new update.......soon..........very soon..........how about now? I cant seem to get it to crash. I have set the DefaultSavePath to "B:" which doesnt exist, launched the software, typed into the main window, click on File then Exit, it offers to Save, I say yes and because the DefaultSavePath doesnt exist it reverts to Desktop. What is you full step by step and config file might be useful for this if you could send it.

Does it only happen on File -> Exit? If that is the case what I will do is to check the auto save path exists then check if writable then if yes, save file or if no default to desktop. I will sort out tomorrow as I’m out today and have it ready before Xmas. We plan on using it for our own mocks first week back so will get our own feedback soon :-)

Also don’t forget that SIMS apps are progressing to the point that when SIMS goes completely online, you may find that you you will engage with parents via the parent app, teachers will set homework and will be seen in a pupil app. A lot of people are using google and Microsoft free services more to store docs, create forms, share work/collaborate etc... my question to you is... will there be a need for systems like Firefly/frog in 2-3 years time? I would have to say at this point in time my answer is no.

Inclusive of 2.1 are also the fixes below 2.1.0.3 Fixed - EWP can be run on multiple monitor setups with the correct screen dimensions, before it was using only the primary monitor resolution. 2.1.0.2 Fixed - "DoubleLineSpacingAtStartup" was incorrectly labelled as "DoubleLineSpaceAtStartup" so option never got applied. 2.1.0.1 Fixed - AutoSave prompt was sitting behind existing window on multiple monitor setups.
