  1. Hi Deano, Just checked this out briefly, looks quite good and fairly easy to use. Just need to make sure I set my tags appropriately. I'll see how I get on. Thanks
  2. Thank you all for your suggestions so far it's been very helpful - I'll have to start looking into each one and decide which is best to be used.
  3. I have actually used Spiceworks before in my previous role in a secondary school, not the side of the Knowledge base though. Will have a look into it as I know the helpdesk part very well. Not sure how to deploy this with my team though, as they have purchased a custom helpdesk which we are supposed to use. Thanks for this.
  4. Afternoon all Looks the snow is settling here again and it's not even been 2 weeks since the last lot , have too much to do for it to snow lol Ok, I'm looking to create a Knowledge base, I thought perhaps I could try Microsoft Access, but unfortunately I do not know it well enough - at least not the point of scripting and creating form linkings etc. Does anyone have any suggestions? Perhaps you have one, or know what I could try? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Daz

  7. Hi Apple Configurator is by far the best way to manage the iPads, and its all done by profiles, you can have many profiles. Here is a link to a video you may find very useful: Apple - Education - Resources - Videos
  8. Good evening, Was hoping some Primary ICT teachers could give me a list of apps they find work well with children aged 5-11? Thanks, Darren
  9. Hello again all you EduGeek's I have a question - if I connect a teacher Kindle Fire HD to a computer using an HDMI lead, will it show the full screen of whats currently on the Kindle? For example a page on a book? Or is it simply video, pictures and sound only? In a nutshell - on the iPad you can use the airserver app to mirror the apple iPad, so basically duplicating the screen - The teacher would like to do this with their Kindle. Any help on this would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Darren
  10. Thank you for all the info, very useful
  11. Good Evening all, I work in many primary schools and I have one primary school that has just purchased a batch of google nexus 7 tablets. I was wondering if anyone working within a primary school could recommend me any apps that would be useful to purchase for the students. Also any free ones. Because this is new for the school, I thought I'd ask in the hopes that some of you may have used some apps that you find useful within your primary schools. Thanks in advance. Darren
