  1. I am try to create a universal image for the various PCs around site. We use Ghost to do this right now. I have created a network share which anyone can access including guests so no auth is required. The DriverPath in the registry has: c:\drivers; \\asa-app-001\drivers; and the path the systemroot drivers. When ghost finished this all works fine in testing however the network drivers need to be applied first before the share can be accessed to complete the other drivers. This is ok if the network driver gets applied first but I don't think it does. I try and add all the network drivers to c:\ drivers in the hope it goes there first but maybe network drivers are not the first thing sought. Does anyone have any suggestions on how I could do this, and maybe a separate not on a best practice for this (maybe WDS) Thanks.
  2. Has anyone setup AD FS for Frog yet and got it working? Looking at implementing this shortly. Thanks. Steve
  3. Yes Fuzzy untuned screen!
  4. OK, plugged some headphones in as I did have a red cross, no help. Disabled hardware aceleration, no help. What Filtering are you using out of interest? We use lightspeed and I called them last night to check on progress, they siad they had another call but couldnt find the details, not sure if its related so watching this space.
  5. I do have access to the proxy, its strange because on Machine A, anyone can access it, Machine B no one can access it. Both machines are on Allow All in proxy right now for testing. My gut feeling is its software. I will try wireshark in a bit and report back.
  6. I want to create a student homework update reminder in outlook. I have all the pupils in each class in distribution groups (alot of lists) - this is automatically updated each night. Ideally I want teachers to send an invite to the dist group and an entry in Outlook be created for this event. - They should not be able to delete this event - It should auto accept as well. Any thoughts would be appriciated. Thanks. Steve
  7. Thanks for the replies, this still does not resolve the issue. It seems its with all machines I have done on a certain ghost. The ghost has been used in the past and just got updated this summer. The hardware acceleration I was hopeful with and tried it late last night in anticipation but to no avail. I don't think it is a proxy thing, a user on a good and bad machine has the issue only on the machine. I can run it like I said on the rds which does have different rules, and my office desktop which has no special rules. Could it be codecs or something do you think?
  8. I've spent most of my day searching for a resolution but with no luck. Heres my problem. When I launch you tube and look at this video (for instance): Operation Good Guys - S1 Ep1 - The Informant - BBC - YouTube (It happens with most youtube clips on our machines) I get the youtube ad, then it goes to a black screen, then it goes to a fuzzy black screen and a message saying "an error has occured, please try again later". It works on a server we use for remote desktop, it works on my machine and thats about it. All teacher machines get this message. Flash is uptodate. IE10, cleared my history and cookies but its still there! Has anyone else come about this or even better found a solution? Thanks. Steve
  9. Does anyone use smart pass for guest wifi provisioning? If so do you know how I can provision a load of accounts for guest access with specific durations? Eg 1 day 1 week. I want them pre printed so reception can hand them out. Thanks. Steve
  10. Hi. We have roaming profiles and all works fine but a slightly fustrating feature is that when you click the name on the start menu it redirects to c:\users Is it possible to redirect this to the Homedrive folder instead? Thanks in advance. Steve
  11. The deployment aspect is one thing that I'm looking to enhance with SCCM. We have a huge collection of software and a large collection of verious hardware I want to maintain along with it so its by no means for the purpose of WDS. How has SCCM helped with maintaining Drivers for those amoung who use it well for this purpose as well?
  12. Hi. Can someone give me their view on SCCM 2012 running on 2008? Right now we use Norton Ghost for our Imaging solution and although I like the ease of its use I think things are still a little more labor intensive then they need to be. How will SCCM help with Imaging? Thanks. Steve
  13. Does anyone know where I can get the Serco 12.3 upgrade? We will need to submit the census after the upgrade but we have ceased our support contract as we are moving to another provider. Can anyone help? Thanks
