Hi I want to install virtualbox for student to use. I have installed virtualbox created a VM. The problem I am having is that went the students log on to the machine and open up Virtual box no machines are there. How do I change the default location so that everything is stored in the c:\ and not the users profile. This would allow anyone to then open up the VM would start automatically without having to configure everything? Thanks

Hi I am having problems browsing the network in my domain. It has been working fine then come into work and having problems. I ran the command browstat status and it returned that a lptop on the domain was the master browser. How do I go about correcting this? Thanks in advance

Hi We are currently signed up to the office 365 plan A2 for students and staff. I need to be able to keep all emails for 5 years. I think to enable this you need to be signed up to the A3 plan. Hi We have two domain controllers both running dns and dhcp. When the main dc that holds the FSMO roles was turned off this has a major impact on the computer start up (please wait) and logon times. My question is do you need the server that holds these roles to be switched on all the time? Thanks in advance.

Hi we have been migrated to office 365. Please could somebody tell me if its possible if we can keep all emails sent and received for aprrox 5 years. I called the live@edu team as I needed to restore emails from 3 months ago. They said that they can only retrieve emails from 14 days old. This surely cant be the case safeguarding for students and we need to be able to retrieve emails for this purpose. Thanks in advance for any help advise.

Hi We currently have two DC and I need to migrate one to virtual. I was thinking I would just create a new 2008R2 server. We are currently running 2008. Please can you tell me what process to start with. Plan is Install new virtual server Run Forest Prep and Domain Prep on the old server? Move DCHP and DNS off the old server to the new server. Hi Thanks for the reply. The server currently hosts DHCP DNS. I was thinking that server 2012 doesn't really give us any features we require. We currently have VMware for the virtual. Any advise would be appreciated. Thanks

Hi I need to upgrade server 2008 to R2. I was planning on installing a new virtual dc and then running forest prep dc prep etc the migrating the roles to that server. Has anybody carried this out and do you have a list of tasks to complete?. Thanks
