It sounds like you are trying to use the web request method? Have you tried on your separate computer to request it via the mmc? Add the certificates >> computer >> local computer snapin, go to the personal certificate store and try requesting a certificate through there. If you are decommissioning you may want to backup the current root cert store and stand up your new root ca with the same name and import the ca db. just a thought...for continuity with your currently deployed certs. there should be a kb out there on how to do this properly.

Our root certificate authority died about a year ago(unrecoverable). The certificate that it had issued to our NPS server for wireless 802.1x authentication expired yesterday. I stood up a new root cert authority and set the NPS policy to use the new certificate that I generated(constratints>>authentication methods, using PEAP). The security logs on my clients are showing 'audit success' a request was made to authenticate to a wireless network / the operation was successful. I don't see any event viewer errors on the NPS server either....but it won't connect. The only thing that changed was the cert. What am I missing?

O365 safeguarding and compliance with Free A2 Plan

@Edu-IT can you go into more details on how you Journal off to gaps? I'm intrigued.... -
try to explain that to an administrator. They have drunk the apple koolaid.

it's the way apple wants it to be. We have over 2k iPads, and to say it's a bloody nightmare to manage them would be an understatement. I won't get into my apple rant, but if you can talk your admin staff out of buying crapples you will be saving yourselves a lot of headaches.

not knocking adfs, but with the latest flavor of dirsync with password sync you get the same username/ password in the cloud as on premise and really it is a much simpler design. We just switched from adfs.

A2 is free, maybe you mean A3? As far as I know, all the collaborative features are included in the A2 plan for free. -
I think this is what you may need: Set-MsolUserPrincipalName -newuserprincipalname [email protected] -userprincipalname [email protected] this is run in remote ps btw

It should look like the link, it sounds like you are still in wave 14 not 15. After the upgrade is complete you should see your shiny new 25 GB SkyDrive pro with your A2 subscription.

your students will have no trouble adjusting...it's the staff that will have issues. =) -
We just finished our transition, 3,000 staff and 15,000 students (we only moved staff boxes). It's possible for both environments to exist at the same time, so for the most part the process is transparent to the user. There are so many reasons to do this, but a few are 50GB inbox, 25GB skydrive, guaranteed uptime, and the biggest one is that it's free.

Thanks for the reply James, I've read that KB...the version of DirSync I'm using I downloaded off the portal on Sunday when I rebuilt the server. It's product version 1.0.6455.0815, 183MB. You are correct uninstalling dirsync, rebooting and reinstalling will work, but it blows up in about 2 days. I will have to do that tonight as I have 18,000 users and not being able to sync passwords is a bit of a problem. The ticket has been escalated in MS support. Let me know if you figure anything out with the other person you are working with. I've re-run your steps above at least 6 times....frustrated.
