  6. Hey Just seen this post and I had exactly the same issue last week when I had to rebuild complete a disaster recovery and repoint all my group policy settings to an alternative server . ...need to start using DFS namespace really Not 100 % sure if this will work but I would be checking these things : Make sure that you are not moving the items from the old to the new location on the Settings tab of the folder redirection , uncheck 'Move the content of % to the new location' Do a GPupdate /force and try again I think this is used only if you use offline files ? Let me know how you get on. I'm happy to check my GPO's in the morning .
  7. Same here very new to it. I believe it is sophos doing this. Does anyone now how to disable services without getting into safemode ? i can only manage to boot from disk and reach the advanced tools command prompt. ??? :-(
  8. EduGeek I have an urgent request for assistance with my Server 2012 domain controller. I have 2 DC’s, both HP DL380 (Latest model) DC1- Hold all the FSMO roles and hosts a couple of hyper-v virtual servers. We had an issue with Sophos not functioning / Sophos services not starting Sophos advised to restart the server, and then remove Sophos. I restarted the server and it now fails to boot and hangs on applying computer settings. I have restarted and try booting into safemode without joy. The DC is currently hung in safe mode boot with the message “failure configuring windows features reverting changes, do not turn off your computer” and the little circle wheel spinning round. This has been like this for about two hours. Can anyone give me some advice / ideas ? Thankyou
