  6. When we connect the iMacs to the domain we use ADmit Mac so the domain doesn't show here at all, but when we go to the ADmit Mac area the domain is missing and a empty white box which can be typed in is showing. On the other Macs however this box is missing and just shows the .local domain and connected. A
  7. In July last year we got some iMac's, when they were installed they were bound to the Windows .local network. Up until last week they were all working properly and connecting to the students network home folders, but then 2 lost the .local network seemingly randomly. We managed to reconnect both to the network and again they worked properly but then a today, only a couple of days after they joined the domain, one has again somehow lost the .local domain. I was just wondering if anybody else had come across this and could provide a bit of light on how this is happening. Thanks A:confused:
  8. We have one of the Canon Powershot A1300 at home. It's a neat little camera, of course it doesn't have all the features of a DSLR or a high end compact but for taking pictures the quality is great and it is easy to use and hold. A:D

    HP ProBook 4545s

We have some of the HP ProBook 4540s and the 4530s which have the Intel processors and we think they are great. The teachers like them as well, the screens are nice and clear and the keyboard is organised well. They also have a decent battery life. A:D
  10. I have been asked to have a look at a HP Pavilion G4 by a friend who says that when they are using Skype the internal microphone isn't working, the computer runs Windows 7. When we have had a look at it no matter how much encouragement with words you give it, it just won't pick up any sound. The drivers have been un-installed and reinstalled, updated, you name it we've tried it with the drivers. Looking through the HP Device Support Programme it says everything is OK and is working correctly. We have used other programmes to test to see if it is just Skype and nothing else picks up sound through the mic either. We have tried an external microphone which works fine and is clear and responsive. Going through the sound section in the control panel the sound isn't muted and both the volume and the signal boost are on and at full levels. The volume meter does respond to lightly tapping the bezel around the microphone but doesn't pick up speech or sound. Thanks in advance for any ideas and help and Merry Christmas. A;)
