moved jobs, lol in seriousness. we were looking at the above approach of VMs but found that lack of backups of students work/ability to print or monitor printing were too much work. in the end we allowed exes in the default folder for VBexpress in one room, whilst that was being taught. not perfect but it made the teacher happy and was only for a short time with a limited number of students.

well i have just looked at another room and there is one vital difference - a usb cable that the problem room didnt have. i am going to check another room at dinner but i suspect when the room was ransacked yday a cable went walkies! thanks all

there is a face plate with dsub, usb, composite AV, 3.5mm with built in AMP; and i believe most of this runs to the projector and speakers. this is going to sound silly, but is there a bluetooth smart board???

Morning all, i have recently started at a place with SMART boards, i am from a promeathean school so am still getting used to them. The issue is that a teacher has arrived at a room with all the cables lose. all were reconnected easily enough but the IWB wont talk to the laptop now. there is a red light next to the power button. no ammount of fiddling will work. in honesty i cant see where the IWB physically connects to the laptop, looks like some cables are routed in the wall(!) and the usb cable may be conneted to the projector. when i go to the smart control panel and click connection wizard it says no board found (HW: HP laptops on docks, wide multi touch smart iwbs, 1 tech to rule them all!) in short - how do i get them to talk???

the dificulties we encountered were generally the restrictions in place stopping kids running exe files

if you ask them they should know if they are using RM CC3 or CC4. they are management systems for edu networks priced like gold and function like mud

are they an rm school? if so some RM accreditation

Good morning folks, i have recently started a new post at a 2year old academy but unfortunatly had no handover, no credentials for google and documentation is lacking. having never managed google email for students is also not helping. i need to setup about 200 email addresses for the new intake (y10 & y12) if anyone can point me to the right direction that would be great!

What are peoples thoughts to the scrapping of GCSEs and moving to O-Level type exams
