  1. I've just been on the phone to them. We had issues around a month ago then it was fine for a few weeks, but since Friday it has been playing up again. SWGFL said they don't have an idea of timescale but to send them the time, IP, proxy and browser each time it fails to log in... They said that a workaround may be to use IE, clear the cache, put it in compatability mode, close and reopen. I must say, it's been a fair while since we have had a proper service and it is starting to cause some ripples now...
  2. We had the same issue and had to pass it on to SWGfL who invesgiated and then blocked it for the whole of the grid.
  3. Also, how do you record areas/devices cleaned?
  4. So I'm thinking about donning the marigolds and performing some preventative maintenance on devices. Do you have a cleaning regime in place for keyboards/PCs/projectors? If so, how often do you clean them? Any tips or recommended products?
  5. Another vote for AB Tutor, a little more clunky than Impero but does the job for us (remote support, watching students, shutting down PCs etc)
  6. I've had a dabble with Xibo here - it's quite good considering its Open Source so completely free.
  7. Morning All, We had a trial of Impero a while back and whilst it was very good it was also quite expensive. For this reason we decided not to go for Impero and chose another solution instead. We have removed the Impero client from all machines, however the Impero Add On enable/disable bar appears every time users open IE. Any ideas on any way that we can stop this from appearing. Thanks
  8. I can seem to get on to it at the moment, but it's very flakey.
  9. Yes, we've been having issues since the 13th. It's affecting us a fair bit as we also have an FM radio station on-site that needs it to access social media streams. Phoned them yesterday for an update and they said that they are aware of it and its with their senior engineers but they're not sure when it'll be fixed.
  10. Anybody have any ideas on how to filter iCloud.com mail without filtering the whole of iCloud.com? The url for mail link seems to be icloud.com/#mail but haven't had any luck getting the filter to apply on SafetyNet Plus. All ideas welcome.
  11. All good on 2008 R2 here.
  12. We've gone for some of these and they seem to work quite well. It's certainly a faff to pick off! http://www.avery.co.uk/avery/en_gb/Products/Labels/Labels-for-Protection-%26-Security/NoPeel-Labels/NoPeel-Labels-tamper-proof_L6145_20.htm?N=4294963006&Ns=&refchannel=e89c393648ff3310VgnVCM100000a2210c0aRCRD
  13. We've just updated our Spiceworks to 6.2 - SSO is great - saves the 'it asks me to log in and I don't know what to put' issues with staff even though its linked to AD.
  14. True - However we want to be able to message users that are already logged on to let them know to save their work etc. We could set a log on message at the beginning of the day as well if there was planned maintanence. Have you got a web link for System Messenger? Couldn't seem to find it. Cheers.
  15. Thanks for the script - it works which is great however it takes a ling time to message all of the users - I sent out a test message at 2:10pm and they're still churning out to PCs Is there a quicker way that we can alert people of events such as the server being switched off in 30 minutes? Thanks, Zach.
  16. Thanks for your help - we had a webinar with Impero which looked great but we'll mull over the idea as it has a great deal of functionality. For what we need we would be more than happy using msg and net send but we couldn't seem to work out a way of sending msg to all users logged in to the domain. Any ideas on how to do this?
  17. Today we had to restart our main server due an ongoing issues which were affecting the networked printers and photocopiers on that server. We sent an email to let people know, however we'd like a way of sending a pop up message to all users who are logged on to the system. We briefly looked at msg in command prompt, however we could only seem to message users logged in to a server/pc Any suggestions on how we can message all logged on users? Thanks!
  18. Hi, I've used RDC to connect to a computer around the school today, and the lovely student turned the computer off. Obviously you can still turn off using the power button, however is there anyway that using Remote Desktop Connection you can display a specified screen at the client end (e.g. Updates in Progress - Please Do Not Use'. ) Thanks for your help
