Another vote for XBMC - Just started the migration from MythTV to this Using XUbuntu 11.04 as its comes with the XFCE Window Mananger which is designed for low end systems meaning more RAM/CPU for XBMC.... XBMC doesn't need much config compared to Myth and recognises my MCE remote with only a quick edit needed for the Context Menu...

There were a couple of peeps from MS in work today and had a chance to mention Win 8 to them And they both said that there WILL be a GPO to disable MetroUI and it WILL behave like XP did when joined to a domain...

I like the new T pylons.. bit like a cross between a telephone pole and the cables used for some of the overhead Tram lines... I also agree that underground cabling would be a nightmare - both financially and practically.. Can you imagine if one got damaged and made the ground "Live" - it'd only take one poor sod to stand on a live patch of dirt and there'd be lawsuits aplenty....

Bet it was more reliable too though.. and think of the hours of fun detanlging your casette tapes as well

I kinds think of the Start Screen as a waste of time when not using a touchscreen device like a tablet or WM7 device... It's whole appearance looks like something from Fisher Price!

Not as such. I did it during an Easter Break so no one was in Also we were on Outlook 2010 which auto finds EX servers so we didnt need to reconfigure them Lastly, the EX2 box was only temp during the upgrade - the EX1 was rebuilt identically except for having Exchange 2010 on it.. The good thing was that all your config settings (routting, connectors, etc etc) are stored in AD so each new EX 2010 install auto picked them up Literally all we needed to do was install EXchange server and migrate the mailboxes - everything else was picked up I think we only had a legacy for about half a day... I think Outlook 2007 is the same with regards to autodiscovery, and that legacy is only needed for 2003 or earlier

Yeah I had to build EX-2 with 2010, then move everyone onto it Then once they were all moved, I blatted EX-1 and installed 2010 on it then migrated everyone back over... Trouble came with some of the system mailboxes - theres a PS command you need to run to allow them to be moved (Discovery Mailbox is one of them IIRC)
