If you install Windows 11 on unsupported hardware then it is not supported by Microsoft therefore when asked if all your software is supported then you will have to answer No. If you lie and say yes, then you will pass as they rely on you telling the truth in the form you fill in. As with any insurance, you are most likely to get caught lying when you make a claim and it wont matter if the lie has anything to do with how the attack happened, it will most likely void the insurance.

Please correct me if I am wrong, they dont turn up and inspect all your hardware and software, they simply ask you if to fill in a form where you make a declaration saying you are using supported hardware? If you install Windows 11 on a Gen7 CPU (i.e. unsupported hardware) and then make a declaration on the form saying all the software you have is installed on supported hardware then you will pass because you have not been correct in your answer?

It's not been fully live for years, it was mostly pre-recorded with a bit of live thrown in according to the BBC so that's why they've just gone pre-recorded only.

For me I'd say it's easier than ever as you can copy and paste an image from the clipboard so using the snipping tool in Windows and just pressing CTRL+V to paste the image in has become amazingly easy!

The only time the word Education is mentioned is in the advertising of the webinar the click bait is designed to get you to. The article basically says not a lot about anything. Nor does the article mention anything about MIS systems which you'd expect as it's in the MIS forum. We'll just have to agree to disagree, I personally dont like clickbait like this and the internet is becoming saturated by it so some of you must like it, I just don't.

The point I think we were making is this is Click Bait marketing trying to get people to join a webinar about AI in schools where they will 99% most likely try and sell you their solution to the 'problem' they tell you about but by providing you with no information on AI in an MIS system in the first place which was the question asked.

On the home page it says they're working on it but it's a manual process and they have to go through them 1 by 1 by 1 by 1...

Only thing I've noticed so far is when you click on Forums there is not button/hyperlink for New Posts like you get on most forums so it's tough to see what new topics/replies there are.

Not for a long while! We have 2 Domain Controllers on 2 different Hyper-V Hosts - any issues with our physical machines then we can either quickly move a DC to another server or in a worst case scenario power up the Replication of the DC on our replication server we have in a different building at the other end of our site.

Doesn't even mention anything education related nor MIS etc.

We just had a metal cage installed around the ones in the PE hall in our primary schools so when the 'little rascals' kick a ball at it, it just bounces off of the case and not the projector and all is good.

In my experience, Teachers dont like CCTV in teaching rooms as it means it might be used against them in a disciplinary hearing whereas wearing a body camera they are in control of whether they press that button or not that stores the video. A secondary school we helped out last year spend over £100,000 on a CCTV system so unless your body cameras come close to that then I'd say it's more cost effective to have some CCTV in the student communual areas and body cameras elsewhere.

Until they have finished moving they risk the network failing should the remaining DC go down. Just tell them youve sought expert advice and you need to create a temporary VM with a DC on it that can easily be decommissioned when they have completed the move in to the cloud and make it clear if they dont want that then that's at their own risk - you're only 1 windows update away from something going wrong!

As others have already said Primary and Backup DC (never hear of a secondary one before, just PDC and BDC for me) - it's all about the roles and you need to seize them at the command prompt on the working DC that you have and then you can decide if you want to split the roles again.

I used to do some part-time lecturing at a FE College teaching the CompTIA A+ and trying to get a student to come up to the interactive whiteboard was impossible so using a gyration mouse meant they could still interact in the session but from the comfort of their own seat. Not sure how most people would get on with a track ball one though.

They were quite expensive, but they just worked without any jobs logged on our helpdesks over the years! The only issue I've ever seen with them is that the rechargeable battery needed replacing after 5+ years of use and if I remember correctly this could easily be replaced.

Gyration mice were what we used to use (back in the day) not sure if they are still going but you could wave the mouse around in your hand in the air and that would move the pointer on the screen, it also worked as a mouse on a desk and was rechargeable too.

If you get one, then get lots of practice boards from damaged Spares and Repairs laptops you have and practive removing random ports and make a not of the temperature you did it at. We replace those ports ourselves using a hot air rework station. Most local computer repair shops that do motherboard repairs will be able to replace that port for you.
