  1. so other than uploading only Latin named files there's no way to use Hebrew? what happens with other non-English files with diacritics or umlauts (e.g. French, Spanish, German...) - no support?
  2. Hello, I'm testing v7.10 of HAP+ and I uploaded a file with a Hebrew name: when I try to delete it i get an error message: (image attached) - it seems like the non-English characters are problematic. when I tried to rename it to English i got a different error message: and if using Firefox, the whole thing freezes (in IE9 I can continue to work). Is any anyway to fix this? Thanks!
  3. cool, that fixed the problem in v7.10 as well... thanks!
  4. also, make sure you're always using https.
  5. do you mean MyFiles v.8 or HAP+ v.8? is it available for download? thanks!
  6. it looks like Windows 7 and it says /MyFiles (per your recommendation, which made it work to begin with).
  7. HAP+ 7.10, downloaded last week, and whatever MyFiles version was included with it... didn't change any files (where can I check what MyFiles version I have?) thanks!
  8. Hello, I am also experiencing problems with uploading PDF files. even though they are allowed, and other file types (e.g. *.doc) upload just fine. Any suggestions?
  9. Thanks, it works much better now. it's beautiful, nice job (although I'll probably have some more questions...)
  10. Hello, Is there an option to disable the Silverlight uploader and go directly to the HTML uploader? Thanks!
  11. two other questions- 1. If all I want is the option to give access from home to files- do I still need the same installation and setup, or is there a way to simplify this? 2. must the AD connection be made by a Domain Admin? what if we want to have another domain user manage HAP?
  12. very well, I'll give it a try. what about other AD browser windows in other parts of the setup, e.g. when setting up who can read or write to files, or who can or cannot see the change password option at the home screen? how do I nake the AD browser work there? Thanks again!
  13. the proxy server tab shows a green tick, and was doing so from the beginning. I'm aware that the password isn't shown, but is saved in the hapconfig.xml file - but the AD browser never worked and doesn't show anything wherever we try. are you saying that if we move the AD brower window and re-enter the password it should work? what would happen in other dialog windows that are trying to browse the AD? if I edit the hapconfig.xml file, in what format should I enter the studentsgroup OU? Thanks!
  14. Hello Nick, thank you very much for this and for being available for help. Is there any other documentation or manual available? we're still struggling with the setup and the settings for accessing user files and all the rest: We're getting a blank Active Directory browser in the AD part of the setup, and in any other dialog box that requires browsing the AD. Does the connection to the domain must be as a Domain Admin? we just want to give access to files- can the connection be made by a "lesser" user? Thanks again, Shaike
  15. when working on web.config to try fixing the previous error I saved it as a .txt file and that's why it didn't work.
