Hi guys, I'm feeling like a change in direction (I've been looking after primary schools and businesses for the last 6 years on a contract basis) and want to move in to 'in house' IT so I can master my own network. Does anyone know where of anything going in Sheffield/South Yorkshire? What's the best way to get my foot in the door? Regards, Ben.

Hi all, I'm a techie for a few schools in South Yorkshire and one of my schools has recently invested in a few iPads. We're having real problems with apps that need to use the internet (including iOS mail), the LEA seems to have everything locked down! Has anyone else had the same issues and have you overcome them? If we can get round these I'd ideally like to start pushing them out to other schools, if not does anyone have a good alternative? Cheers.

Morning guys, I'm a long time reader, first time poster I was wondering if there's anything available in the Education sector in Sheffield. I've been working for a company providing contracted IT support for 8 primary schools for over 6 years now and I feel I have learned all I can at this level. Ideally I'd like to join a secondary school (or college as most are becoming now) and get experience in lots of other technologies. I love to learn with a hands on approach, am CRB checked and am a pretty nice guy in general. Curently I am MCTS in Windows 7 but would like to go further with MS certifications. Cheers!
