hawc replied to bodminman's topic in Internet Related/Filtering/Firewall
Here is another solution. Try and edit the hosts file in windows and point the ip address to the ip address of the printers concerned -

Just had a text message from a very apologetic Chemistry teacher. She said that they were fumigating her room over the weekend and sealing all the entry points -

You should see one of our chemistry labs! Has a ladybird infestation on the ceiling. Went in there today to replace the pc as part of our rolling replacements and had ladybirds dropping on my head! -

What are transport links like?

Brilliant service. I phoned them to put in a warranty claim on my Nexus 7 as the charger had stopped charging. I phoned them and was connected in about 30 seconds. I spoke to a lovely lady, although she could not resolve my issue she was very knowledgeable and understanding. She could tell that I was a geek so did not bother with the things like turn it off and on again (Anyway that is not possible as the charging port is broken and the battery is flat!). She promptly referred my case up to a specialist. I am waiting for an email with further instructions. The lady said that they would be replacing my Nexus 7. Well done Google! If only you could do the same with your taxes then I would consider rolling out Google Chrome in school. Thanks Harry

Hi all, I have some virtual machines running in VMWare Workstation. I would like to take one of them (it is a desktop operating system) and then create an iso from it so that I can install it as a bootable option on my PC. Any ideas and thanks in advance. Harry

@EduTech Your point about address is interesting. Imagine that a person had left home to escape their partner and the ex requested their person who had escaped email from yahoo and the escapee had abandoned their email? Then the escapee's partner would know their address and then be able to go 'round. I know someone who was in a similar state and found their information including their phone number on 192.com and the ex had found it. The ex of the escapee went 'round and tried to attack the escapee. Ended up calling the police and the police forcing the website to remove the data. (Sorry I got in to a ramble then!)

I'd let them know ASAP. Phone your old HT now. Wake him from bed if you have to.
