  1. You can import your hosts in host management and then click on upload hosts.
  2. Becuase fog uses NFS protocol, you will have to setup up your XP box to setup an NFS share, so fog can mount to your XP box.

  14. It joins a client to the active directory domain using the computer name and credentials on the fog server. It does take a bit of tweaking to get it to work though! It uses netdom on the client so we install Windows XP Support Tools on our images. It also requires an encrypted domain password and a modified dll file. You can find out how to do this on the wiki
  15. Ubuntu 8.10 Server here!
  16. Totally agree, Active Directory integration is brilliant, most of the other client features are great aswell e.g. green fog. The best open source software package around!
  17. iTalc will do what you need. Also give Netsupport School a look.
  18. Yes but is it normal for when you upload to the server for the data copied to stop and start, by the way I am only testing this on an Celeron 2.8Ghz, 512MB RAM, 100MBPS NIC! Just incase this is part of the issue!
  19. Yes I did but the upload of the image took a long time as it kept stopping and starting in the save partition to image file and in the Task Management it says the the task is queued?
  20. Just used fog for the first time, I am very impressed with the features! I took an image of a Dell Optiplex 330 and then I deployed it back and now Windows XP wont boot. It just has the usual XP loading screen and then reboots! Has anyone had this before or can anyone shed some light! Is this just a poor image!
  21. Yeah really easy, Just create the .bgi file and pop it in netlogon with the exe and your bitmap and use it as a startup script. And hey presto!!!
