  2. Indeed I've been steadily moving up the list, not that I keep checking or anything Ben
  3. mail.domainname or possibly imail.domainame don't worry too much about outgoing if you have to put something try smtp.domainname We don't need to be able to send just receive via imap. Ben
  4. Indeed just got off to RM who are saying it's a DDOS attack, they use TalkTalk to provide our fibre connection so guess it's against their kit. Ben

  7. No I mean outlook as in the Microsoft email client or any other email client that supports imap connection, thunderbird will do it as well. Just to setup with your own account details to test if you can connect to the current service via imap this is nothing to do with Office 365 at this point. Ben
  8. @witch did you read the SWGfL link I posted? you add an account in the full outlook client with imap as the connection type just to test if you already have imap access. I just added the test account Geoff gave me as a connected account to my Office 365 account. http://plextech.co.uk/wp-content/uploads/2013/11/email_test.png Interesting thing about that picture is that the connection port is 143 i.e imap so a migration using the Office 365 tools should work. Ben
  9. @witch @speckytecky doing some testing with the details Geoff provided me at the moment. SWGfL Electronic Service Interface If you can setup an outlook client and get it to connect to your service via imap then you are good to go and you can use the built in Office 365 migration tools but you will need to have the usernames & passwords for all the accounts. If you don't have imap access ask if it's possible to get it. Alternatively if you only pop3 access what you could do is setup your new users in office 365 and then they add their easymail accounts as external ones which will then suck in all their old emails. Contacts and calendars are going to be more difficult and probably not achievable if you only have pop3 access. Ben
  10. Oh dear oh dear all you youngsters not's getting the C5 reference, shame on you go and write 100 lines. Ben

  12. Absolutely effing brilliant guy I was speaking too who couldn't help me found an azure support number and after checking it was the right one transferred me in to the queue, just got a hangup. 46 minutes of my life wasted. Ben
  13. Unfortunately with a 3rd party solution yes you would need all the account details in order for it to be able to work, like a lot things you would think Microsoft would have tools to do this but they don't appear to have or don't want to make them available. Ben
  14. Has anyone signed up for the free 29 days windows azure free trial? I wanted to set up some test machines in the cloud. I signed up got confirmation can see the subscription in the account section but if I try and go to the portal to set something up I get an error about not having an active subscription, one of the options there is contact support which lists the global support numbers and I've been on the phone for 20 minutes now and can't speak to anyone who actually knows about Azure. Yay Microsoft how I love thee!!!!! Ben
  15. MigrationWiz and others can do it but there's a charge per mailbox, you can do imap migration but that only covers email not contacts or calendar otherwise it's .pst time. Ben
  16. Sorry know was looking at the current eye-fi models on Amazon and came across them as my experience of the eye-fi s/w is like yours. Ben
  17. APMP is like PRINCE2 but on steroids? Ben
  18. £373 based on your 60 users. If you have imap access to the easymail servers and you should have then Migrate IMAP mailboxes to Exchange Online: Roadmap - Office 365 for enterprises makes it look possible to be able to do it yourself. If you want to PM me some more info we can look at it together if you want. Ben
  19. A service like this https://www.migrationwiz.com/Default.aspx might be able to help. They reckon they can move anything to Office 365 Ben
  20. hmmm actually scrub that we moved from the lea easymail to the lea google mail to our own live@edu. I'm pretty sure we lost easymail emails at the time and started again with the googlemail, we did migrate the google mail content. I think it's down to wether you have external access to the emails in easymail such as imap. Email migration Ben Ben
  21. When we moved from easymail to live@edu I uploaded a csv to via the admin bit of live@edu and it imported the mail in to their new mailboxes. Ben
  22. Computer/Laptop still needs power. Or get one that can be screwed down? Ben
  23. Do you know what's in the floor of most UK schools? Ben
  24. A power pole will replace the plank of wood/trunking combo although they tend to be expensive, paint the wood white to match trunking, this will however not resolve the vision issue. If the desk cannot be re-located again to mitigate this then they will have to re-organise the seating to achieve this. Ben
