She's in the correct OU moved her out of the correct OU to a different one and still she it didn't work!!! Looks like a GP problem Mine Field of possible problems!!! but out of the 5 PE teachers she's the only one having problems...

Group policy is setup to hide the C Drive!!! I have just disabled her AD account and still her account is able to logon!!! Will try gpupdate... The problem shows up on all computers I have tried to logged on as her!!!

Its only one user thats having the problem with her roaming profile on any client PC she logs onto!!! Delete account create a new one me thinks??? or is there a FIX?

Hi I have a teachers AD account that seems to have a problem, Her account member of are correct but she can see the C drive and list of mapped servers which she shouldn't be able to see!!! Is it likely her AD account has just become corrupt or is it something more sinister? Any advise on this matter would help me sleep Thanks

It could be the hard drive mode setting in the BIOS i had the same problem with my 755s set it to ATA mode

Been reading up on VLANs most of today still can't understand how I can hide the network doing this method!!! Please can someone kindly explain it to poor me??? Thanks Paul

Hello I have just purchased a HP ProCurve Access Point 10ag WW J9141A. I ran the setup fine its all working great, but I just want the Staff & Students to be able to use the Internet through the wireless setup. The problem is they can see the whole network even the servers!!! They still need to enter a user name and password to get in, but Is there any way to hide the network side of things from them all??? I have had a good look at all the setting within the Access Point couldn't see anything to do that job!!! The laptops that are going to use the wireless connection are not part of the domain at all!!! Any Ideas please??? Thanks

Hi All This one is bugging me!!! Some PCs around my school have just started receiving IE7 update which is causing some problems with roaming profiles. The PCs in question have become slow, some are getting active desktop warning which I can't seem to revert back to school back ground picture always popsup with debug errors... I have tried deleting the users DESKTOP.* file from there roaming profile but still no joy. Apart from me re-ghosting the PCs in question, has anyone any ideas how windows upgrading could get past a netpilot proxy??? and why IE7 could mess things up so much??? I am one that believes in windows updates:confused: I know not many people are Any advise would be greatful...

USB or Firewire not a option really i would like a single device backup method and not 6 ext hard drives to have to take home, also it needs to be a network device!!! been looking at HP 500gb backup tape devices...

Hello Please could anyone recommend any hardware backing up devices eg Tape or NAS that could backup 6 servers overnight??? Server 1 =12gb, Server2 =93gb, Server3 =52gb, Server4 =90gb, Server5 =17, and lastly Server6 =55gb... At the moment I have Netgear NASext+ RAIDX which is starting to struggle with the amount of data been copied over the network from the servers i have tried a stragger the start time of the server but still taking way to long to backup, I need a device thats fast and that I can backup and take the media off the school grounds for safety... I posted earlier on regard getting a HP WHS, i now have one a great idea but WHS has one very large problem that comes into play when you have two or more drives in play, CORRUPTION OF DATA I have lost alot of data BEWARE!!! I believe the large hard drive will shrink to the smaller size drive, Make doesn't matter they will work, but I'd recommend trying to get the same make... My experience with Raid has been with home setups, so server Raid maybe different not totally sure about them 100% Can anyone else enlighten us???

Hi all, I have tried for 3 days now to create a small 3mb.exe program to a MSI file, With no luck at all it just failed to deploy... The MSI files I have created are only showing up as a 260kb file no where near a 3mb file!!! I know its something I am missing can anyone please help???
