About a year ago I setup a teachers outlook2003 with a Hotmail account details and it worked great, but the PC has been remastered and I can't remember where the proxy details need to be enter? Please any help would be great... Thanks

I have also just install WSUS onto a Server and having the smae problems they download to the server WSUS ok, but no client pcs get any updates GP is setup correctly!!! I have even used one of my TechNet calls up on this!!!

Hi all, I have Symantec Ghost 2.5 a old version installed which keeps on dropping the PXE service event viewer just tells me it terminated unexpectedly!!! If I restart the service it will work ok for between 1 to 15mins then drop again... I have reinstalled Ghost also now installed on a new Dell server but continue to drop that service... Please any advise would be gratful? Thanks

Yep administrator & Staff have roaming/mandatory and the student have roaming profiles!!! Hope thats right LOL... I should know his sorry...

There are no stupid questions LOL:D here's one how would I be able to tell... As I did not setup this network??? Teachers & Student can log on any PC in the school does this make it a roaming? Sounds like to does!!! Please could you explain the two types for me? Thanks

Hello I work in a school with a windows 2000 and 2003 network Domain, in total now 4 staff users are having strange problems with there profiles. They can now see the C drive and other mapped drives which they shouldn't be able to!!! also active desktop keeps on popping up and never goes away... Please has anyone any ideas or is it just the case that there OU account is simply playing up and it needs a new OU creating??? Many Thanks

Hi I am trying to get a single domain user account to be able to logon to about 60pcs at any one time for parents evening!!! At the moment after about 10 or so login's to pc it fails to let us gain access.. Please could anyone point me in the correct direction on Active Directory where the setting are hinding from me??? Hi Our SIMS manager has a laptop with SIMS on it standalone laptop for testing. The problem is Document Server doesn't seem to be working the rest of SIMS is working ok... When running document server it comes up with a document server not working!!! Any ideas please??? Thanks

I have created a 2nd Scope on IP 10.45.250.0 but like you have pointed out its labeled as 10.45.240.0 strange!!! I will re-do it to the 10.45.240.0... Or i am better doing the ip helper...??? As it sounds like a better idea to me...

Hi HP ProCurve 5406:- Netpilot:- Hope this is enough:)?

The`Local Authority`supply our schools broadband by the mean of a netpilot and a cachepilot for caching websites!!!If a PC or Laptop is on the Domain group policy has the redirect to the cachepilots IP address to that is forwarded to the netpilot... But these laptops are not part of any Domain they are all standalone units... What other information have I missed out that you would like to know? Please ask away?

Domino thanks for this info as I also didn't think setting up a second vlan would work, but all the peps I have phoned have said it would!!! So what defines a proxy to vlan1 ONLY? Is there any way to set it up so vlans2 see the proxy? All this stress has driven me to drink!!! Thanks

I have successfully setup a 2nd VLAN on my HP ProCurve 5406zl, I can't get the port that I have tagged with VLAN2 to work on the internet at all!!! I have even just plugged in a laptop straight into that port and still no internet!!! I have checked all the correct proxy information has been entered into the laptop fine!!! Any Idea's please? As If I can't get the laptop thats into that vlan port a access point has no change!!! I think I am missing something here!!! Thanks

Timzim how did you guess her name...? LOL Hi apeo no she wasn't logged in anywhere its half term schools out... First thing I tried was to change the password that has worked in the past with strange problems:)

There me thinking I was going to have a chilled out half term LOL... When disabled within AD her account still lets her in!!! Is It likely someone has been hacking at her account??? Just been told she sometimes gives her password out to student TEACHER!!!!!!

ran a gpupdate /force pc restarted but again group policy hasn't been applied to her AD account!!! But whats more upsetting is she can see all the servers and doesn't even ask for a administrator or password to access them!!!
