  1. Thank you, I didn't think to check the Capita documentation!
  2. Hi, sorry if this has already been posted somewhere else - I have tried to find a response to my query but couldn't find anything! We currently use Insight at school and I want to develop it's use to collecting GCSE option choices for our pupils instead of using paper forms. Does anyone do this? If so, would anyone be so kind as to point me in the right direction of setting this up? Thanks, Lianne
  3. Hiya, does anyone know how to change the cell font. All of my timetable is in Arial apart from the class details in the cells which are Times New Roman, and the menu to change the font is greyed out (but only under Cell Settings, I can change the font under Layout Settings). Thanks!!!
  4. Thanks for replying, I actually worked out that is was my gradeset - I had a grade of 'N' which had a value of 11. I've amended my gradeset since and it works fine!
  5. Hi all, sorry if this has been posted elsewhere, I did do a quick check! I'm setting up some traffic light analysis in SIMS using the Nested if then Else formula. When i calculate the data in the marksheet, it will colour in blank cells as well. Can i do anything in the template to ignore or not colour blank cells? Thanks! Lianne
  6. Thanks vikpaw, my local helpdesk were on the phone and talked me through deleting the results just as you replied! thanks again
  7. Hi, I don't suppose any one knows how to clear data generated by a formula in a marksheet do you? I currently have data that has calculated from somewhere but it shouldn't be there. Thanks!
  8. Thanks both for your help, I went with creating aspects with gradesets which works well for us
  9. Sorry I might be being really dense, but what did you have as values in your gradeset?
  10. Thank you, I'll give that a go!!
  11. Hi all I am trying to create a template in SIMS to track pupil deviation across all subjects at a particular reporting point. I want to create a formula to work out how many times a pupil has a particular deviation, eg. -2, 0 etc. When I select GRADE TALLY COLUMNS, the deviation columns in my spreadsheet don't show as an option to select which I think is because they are Marks-Integer. Is there a way of getting around this? I thought about copying each deviation column using the EQUALS formula to create it into a grade but I'm not sure how this would work. Any suggestions would be greately appreciated!! Thanks! Lianne
  12. right clicking and clear colour didn't work as that option was greyed out but thank you creating a nested if then else formula worked, thank you
  13. I've checked and there isn't anywhere else that this would be coloured from - I have set up the aspects for my marksheet from scratch so they wouldn't used be anywhere else.
  14. Hi! I'm sorry if this is posted anywhere else on edugeek, i did search but couldnt find an answer. I'm creating a tracking sheet in SIMS Assessment Manager, and one of my columns (where the forumla was MAX) was being shaded red for no reason. I checked all the Nested if Then Else formulas and it wasnt using that column so I couldnt see why it was coloured in. I tried deleting all my Traffic Light formulas from my marksheet template but this is still pulling through all of the traffic light colours on the marksheet. Is there a way of getting rid of the traffic light colours or do I need to start again? Thanks!!! Lianne
  15. Just when you thought that was the last from me (for today)...I've managed to sort out my grade sets now so the marks entered for different units are calculated into a grade, but my traffic light formula no longer works because the value of the target grade and the topic grade is now different (the target grade has the KS Point Score grade set - A- 52, B - 46 etc and the topic grade I have calculated is using an ISA grade set). Is there a way you can convert a grade back to points, and then back to a grade again - so id be converting the newly calculated grade to the KS point score and then using this in my formula?
  16. Thanks both looks like i'll be busy creating Aspects for the next million years!
  17. Hi everyone I have created a tracking system in Assessment Manager using a result set (Tracking KS4) across each department, and then different Aspects depending on the data to be entered into the column (eg. Tracking Science Mark, Tracking Science Grade etc.). This was working out fine for me until Science asked for separate templates for Core/Additional/Seperate and BTEC Science. Using the Tracking KS4 Result Set is pulling through data to places it shouldnt be (eg. Seperate Science in the Core Science Marksheet). Should I be creating new Result Sets for the different Sciences (Tracking Science Core etc) or should I be creating different Aspects (Tracking Science Core Mark/Tracking Science Additional Mark etc.). Thanks!! Lianne
  18. Thanks both for your quick responses - ive changed U to 0 in the Grade Set and this has worked! Thank you!!
  19. Hi I have just created a Grade Set in SIMS to convert a Total UMS Score into a Grade. The UMS grade is A* - 360, A - 320, B - 280, C - 240, D - 200, E - 160, F - 120, G - 80, U - 79, U - 0. As you can see, 79 is a U and so is 0 but SIMS doesn't let you have duplicate grades in a Grade Set, so i have had to leave it as 79 is a U. When i calculated my Marksheet, it doesnt populate a grade for anyone who has a UMS score of less than 79. I thought that SIMS would recognise a score as being less than 79 and know it is a U. Is there something I am missing here? Any help would be appreciated!! Lianne
  20. Hello I am fairly new to my role as MIS Officer at a Secondary School (coming up to a year, so maybe not that new!), and I am looking at ways to develop the schools use of Assessment Manager within SIMS. I was wondering if there was anyone out there who uses SIMS/Assessment Manager to store/analyse MidYIS and YELLIS feedback data on their pupils, and if so how. I was thinking of creating a template with columns that were just free text, and then importing the feedback into them but this will only allow me to store the data and not produce any analysis on it. Apologies if there is already a thread for this somewhere, i did search to try and find a relevant one!!! Thanks, Lianne
  21. Thanks I'll try that
  22. I have created a Grade Set for some UMS Grade Boundaries (A* - 108, A - 96 etc.) and then subsequent Aspect and Result Set, but when I have tried to enter data on a Marksheet in a column attached to my new Aspect I am getting the Invalid Value error message as I am entering a score (108) and not a Grade. I went back to the Grade Set to swap the Grade and Value around but you can't put an alphabetical figure into the Value field. This has then made me question how you can put in a UMS Score which is inbetween grades as surely I will get another invalid value error as you can only enter the values that are on the Grade Set. Please can someone help me, and tell me what I need to do to get a Grade Set set up so that I can convert a UMS Score into a Grade, using boundaries and not having to type in hundreds of values/grades (eg. 107 - A, 106 - A, 105 - A, 104 - B, 103 - B). Thanks!
