We have just been told to close the school immediately by the county council. Word is now circulating that all Lincolnshire schools are to close.

Well I was told it made headline press but I haven't had the time to look into it. We still buy our MS licenses from them.

Well all I know at the moment is Ramesys dont send out the original CD's but a copy with there branding. Someone also said it was a possibility that they had a massive volume license type thing to resell, but never registered half of them with Microsoft. Hence the stupidly cheap prices!!

I heard on the grape vine today that Ramesys Licensing was being investigated for fraud by Microsoft!?

We use the task scheduler to run scripts during the week day, works fine!

Why would you want to restart a server tis often?

Same for us in a way. We do not restart any machines during the working day. Should something need to be restarted in an emergency then thanks to ESX a server is usually back up within 5 mins. One of the benefits of virtualisation

PowerPoint viewer literally does what it say on the tin! It wont let you edit or save!

We use Hitachi Cambridge StarBoards which may solve the issue of damage! The surface is touch sensitive but wont be affected if someone decides to put a hole in it!! Found them to be great against teacher rage!!

We only reboot servers out of hours when updates require it. Other than that ESX just manages everything beautifully. Every 2 weeks does sound excessive to me!

Hi All, We are trying to install Office Comunications Server 2007 and everything was going swimingly until it came to Step 2, deploying the server. Everything installs correctly but then the installation fails at the following step (as recorded in the error log) : Activate Web Components Server IIS Virtual Directory Setting Failure [0x800407D0] Any help would eb a great help as we are at a loose end for this one. Thanks.

Has anyone managed to solve this issue? I also have the JCE editor published but with no styles. Everything else seems to be working fine.

Hi all, I have 2 displays connected to my main PC now and I have just set it to "Horizontal Stretch". The only problem is, is that all my apps when loading appear in the middle, or they maximise across 2 screens. Does anyone know how to stop this (if possible)? Thanks. [This is on WinXP]
