  1. we have the same issue here have found if the parent forwards it to them selves the attachment suddenly works
  2. hi all i have good news i have finally managed to get this resolved with google it has taken months of two emails back and forth to try and get to the bottom of the issue today they have finally confirmed there was a problem and they have now resolved it so the OU's listed as 18+ now work as they should hope it helps everyone else out too
  3. yes but no progress yet im afraid we are still working on it will post back when i have an update
  4. i have a google support case open for this at the moment once I hear back from the specialists I have been transferred to I will update this thread
  5. correct but the way the old vpp worked is it linked to an apple to the vpp account using the VPP invite system(sends an email) you can not do this with a managed apple id as they cant access the app store so you have to use VPP Device assignment in meraki or use none managed apple ids and the invite system. we use both like i said managed id for classroom vpp Device assignment and also use personal apple ids for the extra bits works a treat like this.
  6. We had the old Merak set up like you have, and yes only way to make app store That's correct the ASM Apple id's ids are not "Apple IDs " that can be used on the app store this is where the vpp device assignment comes to push corperate apps. apple id's in asm are intended for corporate icloud and schools manage use only so its not really an issue so to say. Our students use persona apple ids to get anything extra they want. Its a pain that you cant BULK make apple ids what would be the ideal solution for that side of things.
  7. hi there to install apps for devices you need to check this box in meraki for the app assignment "Use VPP device assignment: " this will then assign the app to the device not the user(owner) for this you dont need any owners or apple id's just need vpp setup
  8. hi i use the paid version of meraki so am unsure on the support for some aspects of this with regards the free licences. is not strictly ture yes you can do it in MDM but you will be setting the classes teacher associations manualy from what i gather(correct me if im wrong) with ASM you can use ASM to import DEP devices and also classes/staff and students apple provide a set of templates to do this Via SFTP and i have made sims reports and written a set of PHP scripts to populate the templates so its nice and simple to update now. im happy to share these but people using them need to no how to customize what you need out of them they are not the best but do the job for us. we are currnetly running the 1-1 ipads using meraki with full site apple classroom
  9. yes this is a drawback we have come across i would be interested to see this profile if you have a copy you could send me as this might be a viable fix for us.
  10. hi all what are other peoples experience of this? I have been working on apple Classroom for our staff iPads to control our student iPads for a while now and finally got it all working on a site with over 1000 ipads. I wanted to offer my help to people should they need it. James
  11. If you pick update drive and point it at the folder it will not detect it to work as it is "not supported" you have to tell it that this is the driver it will use and not rely on the system finding it becaus it is compatable just your lovely pc is thick :-) of u follow my instructions earlia it tells u how to do his I you don't know I'm glad others are getting success too. QUOTE=Miscbrah;880441]Thanks, but when you say you add the drivers in from device manager, you're browsing to a folder where you've put everything from %temp% that came in from that install process, right? I'm doing exactly that but it's not happening for me :/ Just want to be sure I've got that right or you can see any glaring errors from my method. Meh, if it won't work it won't work though.
  12. we have been using the interactive white board software called PlaniT on windows xp for the last few years but have over the summer upgraded to windows 7. the problem i have is that the PlaniT software i have is an rm package and it does not work on windows 7 right. does anyone have a copy of the installation media for this software as attempting to get it from the website has failed as the site does not exist any more. if not what other software toolkit are like it and are free or cheep as i need to come up with an alternative if i cant get this to work. thanks in advance for any help
  13. read the rest of the thred as it does say u get the windows 7 drivers for the mdx-40a(not the ts-30) as there is not one. the ts-30 is a early mdx-40a so they are virtually the same then u get the drivers from the installer by clearing the %temp% folder then running the install application but do not actuly install each step through the install look at the temp folder a new folder will apear there with the mdx-40a drivers in it. take a copy of these and put some where safe. then go to divide manager adn tell the computer to use the drivers you just put some where safe it will not detect its compatable but it is you have to make it do it.
  14. yes thats all i did it works fine for out ts-30 you do have to force the driver though by manualy pulling it from the %temp% folder upon installation then forcing it to use it in divice manager
  15. can u confirm its set correctly it should be the one in Computer Configuration (Enabled)hide --> Policies-->Administrative Template-->Printers (Disallow installation of printers using kernel-mode drivers Enabled ) and it has to be on the ou that the Machine(pc) sits in and set for the machine thats the only setting i changed and then rebooted and it was fine might be worth modeling the gpo to insure its set if still not working.
